Hornady high speed 3 in 1 case trimmer

I found that if I hold my left index finger in the mount of the case while I’m seating it in the collet, it seems to help align it.

Also, the open/close rotation I was using initially was too large and made lining it up slightly difficult. After you release a case, open it up just enough to drop the case.

Hope that helps.

This was helpful, thank you.

Hilarious that Henderson has been out years and people acting like Hornady discovered Fire.

Could have bought a henderson years ago and been way ahead. Now that hornady makes it and markets it to the masses (IE retards) everyone seems blown away. For a few bucks more you could buy the real thing too.

(i.e., people who don't want to be fleeced by Todd and who appreciate not having to dick with carriage stop screws and bolts to shave another thou off before grabbing the vacuum to police up brass thrown all over as a result of the poorly fitting spindle cover that seems like an afterthought.)

Fleeced? You mean the guy who invented and came up with the entire idea? One who has sold thousands of units to happy customers. Have yet to hear anyone say anything bad about them. Every time I had a question or needed something it was same day responses and less than a week for replacement/lost parts.

Once a cartridge is set you never have to touch it again. Its incredibly easy and repeatable. You can use painters tape to cover the seams. The shield is a bent metal unit, its never going to seal perfectly as an injection molded design.

Or you can support people who steal others ideas and give them no credit/licensing. Only a piece of shit would buy one of these Hornady trimmers knowing the history.

Getting the hang of it.

Nice. Good technique centering the case on the asinine collet.

Now if only you weren't a "retard" and a "piece of shit," according to the Henderson FanBois Society, for choosing the cheaper and much-improved version that doesn't necessitate custom pilots, a bunch of wrenches, painters tape, and a vacuum to clean up the mess.

I have both. I prefer the Henderson trimmer. The carriage bolts are a non-issue. The only thing I have trouble with as was mentioned earlier is the pilot and no the Hornady is not bit better than the Henderson in that regard.

Given they knocked it off, all the way down and to include the stupid collet, what is about the Henderson that you prefer?

Several of you mention sized brass works much better in the Hornady.
Are you talking full length or neck sizing?
I don’t hand load for semi’s, so all my brass stays fire formed. Several are Ackley’s.
Thanks for all the input guys

Got it, thanks.
I’m a huge wildcat fan. Was just curious how the Hornady would handle some of those.
I am slowly going back to “standard” cals.
