I am with all of you on the idea that the NFA needs to go, but as it sits, if the zero dollars tax stamp holds up, we can play the cards we have been dealt.

ATF Rule 41F is an Obama Executive Order. That is exactly what established the background checks, pictures, fingerprints, etc. Trump could easily amend that EO.

Simply put:

Eliminate the requirements for fingerprints and pictures.

Secondly, permit non government employees to satisfy the background checks according to state laws as with all other firearms purchases. Simply put, any FFL can complete the background check requirements, and if you are in a state like Texas, my carry permit allows purchases of firearms without an additional background check beyond the ones already done.

Thirdly, make the issuance of the paperwork instant issue at the retail level of any FFL. They type in your name, the items, etc and you walk out 15 minutes later with a new supressor, or any other NFA item. If you want to build your own SBR for example the same process could apply.

Trusts would be very complicated in this scenario, but on the other hand individuals could be in and out in 30 minutes or less.

Again, not saying it's ideal but it would be a way to play the cards we currently (might) have...

Once the tax is gone there is no reason to keep a registry to verify who paid a tax. The fingerprints and background checks are procedural rules that do not require the full blown legislative approval as the OP pointed out. If the republicants are willing, they can turn suppressors and short barreled thingies into regular firearms without much fuss and muss.

In this scenario that I laid out we only need one Republican to sign off (should we get there)

41F is for Trust etc, not individual Form 4. Photos and fingerprints have been required for a long time.

That isn’t a bad strategy, but I don’t think it’s the best one.

Right now I think the best thing the gun community could do is buy a shitload of braced pistol AR’s. I think if those things became so common as to preclude regulation of them, the result would be the eventual nullification of the SBR laws. You can take that meme video floating around with the cartoon atf guy saying “this is a legal gun, now this is an illegal gun” with the same damn picture and even non-gun owners understand how dumb that is. And if SBR’s get legalized with the wave of a wand, suppressors will probably go with them.

And now for something controversial….i think FRT’s hurt us on this front. The average plant-eater sees full auto as the boogeyman, and FRT’s and bump stocks scare them into wanting the NFA to stay. For now, we’d do better as a community to focus on cans and SBR’s and constitutional carry. Once we hace all those things, then maybe pursue the fun-switch.

Agreed, but they are currently infringed and have been for a long time!

Yeah, because of all the gay ass compromises we keep making with anti-gun lawmakers. Just look at the NRA. They sold so many dumb Americans the idea that if the NRA doesn't exist and you don't give them money, the Second Amendment will just disappear. Meanwhile, they gladly take the money donated to them and work with anti-gun lobbies to make compromises. Fuck compromises! Article 6 of the Constitution says that Constitutional laws (aka the laws of the land) are the supreme laws of the land and overrule other laws.

Don’t forget they(NRA) will take extraordinary hunting trips and throw lavish parties. All while dressing and traveling in style. Paid for by the supporters

Shall not be infringed.
Illegal to tax , license or charge for a Constitutionally guaranteed Right .
" A Right postponed is a Right denied "
Slippery slope when incrementally
negotiating your Rights back . Wrong wording , agreement or Precedent and We've forged our own chain . You can be sure if that happens the Left will die on a hilltop rather than surrender that inch. And by die on a hilltop I mean us , our families ,dogs and our Rights because Fuck the Serfs .

Yep supreme court decision that a right delayed is a right denied. Yet Colorado has a waiting period to purchase guns. Let's see In a decade how the Supreme Court side steps that case as well.
They have issued Rulings that are constantly shit on and trampled by the Left . It isn't that they don't want to revisit , it's that ;
They only hear so many cases a year .
It's that if they issue another ruling and it is shit on everybody says the quiet part out loud . The Supreme Court has no means to enforce their decisions . Andrew Jackson arrogantly told them , " John Marshall has made his decision . Now let him enforce it ."
Assault Weapons ban unConstitutional, in common use .
Currently 10 States have a ban .
To illustrate the nonsensical lies propagated to push this tripe , Every Town states in their website that 9 out of 10 mass shootings have involved at least one assault weapon . Our tax dollars at work .

The song,... Sign's Sign's everywhere a Sign, should be required listening with the word sign replace with the word rule or law.
The fact that it even takes that long for solid cases to be heard is a problem in itself. And ready when you guys are.
