This is just one example of the kind of thing that makes LawEnf work so dangerous compared to almost all other careers... Of course, people with sociopathic personality traits will still have contempt for LE even after viewing this.

A Knox County S.O. Tenn. Deputy is/was on a ventilator in critical condition after a nighttime call about shots fired in the woods behind some homes in Tennessee...

KCSO Deputy Austin Swanger and at least two to three other deputies heard the suspect but couldn't see him because of vegetation, and after entering the woods, Deputy Swanger was struck hard in the head with a brick or rock.

By coincidence, part of it was caught on camera because the Deputies were being filmed by a TV show called "On Patrol: Live".

Those are a lot of words but what I am hearing is that the SO needs a guy trained to go dark and use NV, at the least. Don't want collateral damage. That being said, a 5.56 will do pretty well at those ranges but .308 is also good.

That department has several search and rescue helicopters with all the toys. They also have multiple K9 units.
These deputies were under the impression that the woman was with him. Hostage type situation so they didn't have time. They are all lucky they didn't catch a bullet.

First of prayers out to this Officer. I hope he recovers.

Secondly stop gaslighting cops and telling them that they do the most dangerous job. It’s not evening the top 10 most dangerous jobs. This is part of the training mindset issue that is causing LEO major issues.

When I was 20 I was a climber, trimming high tension powerlines in the dead of winter in Maine at 20 below 0°f. Dammit that was a brutally dangerous fucking job that almost took my life many times. I had sparks flying more than I could count. Seriously when I think of it, it makes me wonder why it took so long for me to come to Jesus.

Because of our daily work families stayed warm during hard Maine winter storms and frigid temperatures.

Men’s work is often dangerous. That is why we are men,

I've done more than half of the jobs on that list. No bullshit. I'm sure there are plenty of people here that have.

Convenient store workers aren't on that list?
