I have been offered a Kahles 312i with the MSR mil reticle for 1300. I know this is an older scope but I like the mag range. Is this a good deal still? It is hard to find comps for pricing.

    Thanks.

That's a fair bit of cheese for an older optic that was never known for its great glass quality. I'd make suggestions of better current offerings, but you're not asking for that, just a price check.

they're pretty heavy at 2 lbs. 29 mils of elevation. Think about it like a K318i that only goes to 12 but that's as long as a K525i.

If you can look through it, see if you like it? Top parallax and left side windage is cool.

I'd suggest a steiner t6xi, maven rs1.2 or even the H6xi 2-12. The glass in the t6xi is pretty good really, the maven is a very good scope, but the reticle is pretty basic. The most comparable would prob be the t6xi 2.5-15, in msr2. You state your dislike to CA, I have a few K624i, and had a few K525i, they had some the worst CA for top level optics at their time.

A 2nd hand minox zp5 3-15 would be a great scope as well, glass is excellent.

Any suggestions in this price range? I am open but I hate CA and most options in this price range have a ton these days.
I too was gonna say the T6Xi. There is some. The optical quality is exceptional for the price. As a package I don’t think there is a better option really. You’d spend more on a 4-16 Atacr but sub 2k I’d be getting either of those and the Minox 3-15 as mentioned.
