SIG 2025 translation: Self inflicted gunshot.

Ching, Chong, Chang. Kain’t understand you. Go back to yurr country. Glock power.
- Clayton Bigsby

I'm sure you recognize it, but for those who don't: The first pic (BW) where the sign says "SIGGERS Keep Moving" actually was "A.I'ed." It said something different, initially. Substitute one letter and you'll get it. Additionally, the "Glock" logo on the bottom covers something else. Perhaps a certain "color..."

Jesus. Thank God, Chappell didn’t have to explain every joke 🤣

Akshually….. But I’m sure you knew this.
Also, notice no gun in the woman hand in the original.

Well, at least I got the "color" part of it right... :ROFLMAO: And, although the target may have been the Japanese in this case, I wonder where the original concept of similar signs came from? I'm sure you're familiar with the famous billboard signs in the South that said "N*****, don't let the sun set on your ass n this county!" Or, this one...And, since the webpage indicated that the sign was created in the early 1920s, I have to question it as I'm not sure that we (the US Citizenry) were having a lot of difficulties with the Japanese until Pearl Harbor. The Govt and Military, perhaps, but I don't think it reached the citizenry until after Pearl Harbor. There weren't even internment camps until the early 40's after Pearl.

Also, notice no gun in the woman hand in the original.

Like I said, "A.I."

Just here to say that m&p is better than glock.

fight me....

sigger.

Edit....

I also day dream of returning to glock some day.

but then i remember my m&p has been more reliable is harsh conditions....

but then I have that dream again.
I agree. The Glock design is getting old.

The VP9 and the M&P9c are two examples of taking a concept and improving it.

How so? Glock is Perfection.

There has never been a better pistol design, and there never will be.
500 years from now we will still be “rock out with your Glock out.”

They are on Gen 5. Was the 1, 2, 3, or 4 not perfect enough? 😉

Don't think I'm a hater, I actually own a couple Glocks. I just don't get the reason for falling in love with one.

The issue is that they have been behind forever. The only thing that makes them great is they are simple and popular. At one time they were cheap but that's changed.

Flashlight rail? Gen3, after HK

Front cocking serrations? Gen 5, after almost everyone else had them.

Slide release that sucks? Rack the slide to load the chamber.

Accuracy? Meh. They were "combat accurate" until the Gen 5 came along.

Modularity has become a thing that they will eventually have to catch up on.

Sig was really making strides until they fumbled the ball on this issue.

saggers?

I don't understand what people could hate about fired clay.

I have a Glock, and just bought a P229. Don’t love the Glock, but I think part of its success is that most men don’t really like change in large areas of their life. Most men aren’t into fashion, as in the next new shiny object.

Yeah, there’s a VOCAL subsection of dudes that upgrade to the newest phone or car or smart home gadget etc immediately when it releases, but most men just want a company to made the same product they always did until the end of time.

Case in point. Many men want a company to never stop making their favorite:
  • Shoes/boots/slippers
  • Eyeglasses
  • T-shirts
  • Underwear
  • Beer
  • Circular saw
  • Deodorant/soap
  • Hair care stuff (if you still have hair!)
  • Suits
  • Pens
  • Ammo
  • Rifles
  • Pistols
  • Etc
Each new Glock tends to fit into their ecosystem of holsters (or manufacturers quickly fill the void). Mags and parts are plentiful and change is minimal. I’m no heavy pistol user so I cannot speak from experience, but it appears that the gun just works and it’s one less thing to think about.

Lots of fun gun stuff is futzy. My Glock, at least, isn’t.

But I think I’m going to enjoy the P229 more (if I don’t have any problems!). Just bought it, haven’t shot it yet…hopefully it’s not like that crazy shitballs girlfriend who is awesome in the sack but leaves you penniless in the gutter…
