Precision Rifle & Gas Gun Series- Butte, MT

Could you give a rough overview of the match types?

I see bolt & pistol and then gas gun on different days. Is this PRS style, time plus? What does a typical stage look like?

The matches are similar. The match on October 2 is very much PRS style. Scoring is 1 hit equals 1 point. The October 18 is slightly more DMR oriented. There are more divisions, especially in the Gas Gun divisions. There is one stage that has a pistol and rifle component. Eventually the plan is for 2 pistol/rifle stages. Some more of the targets will be in the 4 MOA range. You will have 15 rounds for 8-10 point chances per stage. We are using 875 yards as the max distance for 5.56/ .223. Scoring is the same. Hopefully that helps.

I know getting range time is tough and schedules are limited, but you might try to coordinate dates with the Big Sky Long Range Precision monthly match. I think you both have a match on 10/4 and you're likely pulling from the same pool of shooters.
