I saw that trigger tech is coming out with a tikka trigger announced at Shot Show. Does anyone have info on it? Single or 2 stage? Pull weight range????

This is an interesting post because I had no idea that a current Triggertech trigger will not fit on a Tikka. I just found this out when I ordered a new barrel from Southern Precision. And of course i bought a Triggertech Diamond trigger that I an't use.

Supposedly TT was working on a Tikka model for months now.

I actually love single stage but would prefer a lighter pull weight than the 1.5lbs I can safely get my Tikka's too with aftermarket springs. I'm interested.

I have that one - just as nice as a TT diamond - keep mine aorund ~6 oz

Good to know but I'm not spending $600 on that trigger.

I figured it was the only way to get my Tikka to feel right, and I had already bought a Vision chassis and a Bartlein. So, either sell it all, be unhappy with the 1.5lb trigger, or just buy it.

Big miss not releasing the two-stage initially... the whole reason *most* people want to move on from the Tikka trigger with a spring is to get a 2 stage trigger.

I hope it doesn't depress sales and then they decide not to release a 2 stage, lol.

Seems even dumber when the stock Tikka trigger is totally fine down to 1 lbs and a few oz's, but there are limited 2 stage triggers available... we can do this all day, can't we?

Most people want a 2 stage trigger to match the 2 stage TT's in their R700 format guns. I know that is what I want, and if you read the interwebz its also what most other people want. They don't want a Timney.

I have read the Midas is good, but I have never run one. I have never contacted them to see if it actually doesn't fit well in other stocks, or if that's just BS they put on their website so people don't bother them constantly. I don't run KRG stocks anymore.

I'm just assuming single stage is what made more sense mechanically. They have to know that most of their customer base would prefer two stage.

I own the updated version of the Midas and I really like it. Better than the factory Tikka 2 stage.

I also own a Bix two stage TacSport Pro at 8oz/8oz and the Midas doesn’t go down as light but I like it just as much. Was planning on figuring out how to replace a spring, but I shoot it just as well as the R700.

Main difference is no Gator shoe and not much Bix over-travel available. I like over-travel like on my AIAT.

But gotta admit that factory Tikka single stage with a lighter spring fucking rocks.

Single stage is great!
The spring works great. Its Ok in the single stake tikka but really shines in the 2 stage tikka trigger found in the tacticals.

A TT diamond 2 stage for Tikka would be amazing!
Any idea on the pull weight that it comes to with that spring? Does the spring make the second stage lighter or just the first?

I thought the TriggerTech trigger for the Tikka was supposed to be released this year? What are they waiting for?
This was the response I got from them back in July.
