Tikka T3 Thread

Good mourning,
I am looking for a muzzle break for my daughters Tikka Super lite, 308 caliber. The barrel is 5/8 x 24 thread, nothing special. I want the muzzle break to fit the contour of the barrel as close as possible. Any ideas or thoughts on a brand / model?
Thanks,
Charlie112
JA Outdoors has contour matching breaks for the Tikka.

Europtic is importing the CTR 223 again, call and ask to talk to this guy: Jacob T, 570-368-3920. He sent me a price quote on a 20" black 8tw ctr just a few days ago. They're special order and will likely take a bit, but for the price I don't know if there is a better rifle available sub $1k. I'll likely throat mine out a ways to get near 2.520 with 75 or 80 eldm.
I actually was able to order a Varmint (JRTXH312) from Sportsman's Warehouse shipped to store, and as of this reply they currently have them available. But still nice to know that the CTR is not totally dead in the US!

My Reaper and Ranger with CTR bottom metal inlets. I swap my rifles and stocks like legos. I use the CTR inlet bottom metal for AICS mags from Mountain Tactical for my 223 and 6.5 PRC in both stocks. I added the ARCA rail to the Reaper and the SRS ARCA/Picatinny rail to the Ranger.

I'm kinda late but I just wanted to ask you if GGS Stocks come with an user manual that specifies torque for the action screws and other things since I've just ordered a Cobra for my Tikka T3X SV chambered in .308 win and couldn't really find anything about torque. Many thanks

Not from GGS but I would Use the recommendation from Tikka itself.

5 Nm max. for Plastic Bottom Metall
7 Nm for CTR Bottom Metall

It came apart a lot easier than I thought it would. Sprayed the chamber and the outside where the barrel meets the action with Sea Foam Deep Creep while also applying low heat, just two times over 24 hours. Then used the SAC barrel vice with the special Tikka sporter bushings and a wheeler action wrench. Tightened the vise to 30 ft/lbs initially, barrel still turned, increased to 33 and it came right off without needing a cheater or applying heat.

For those who have seen and shot multiple factory Tikka what would be the expected accuracy out of a Tikka T3x SuperVarmint with handloads in regular non magnum calibers (.308, 6.5CM, 6.5x55 etc) for 5 shots? Not counting the "best" 3 shot group but a true representation of the rifle?

I couldn't say exactly but quite good. Sub moa for sure. That's based on four different 6.5cm CTR barrels I have used with mediocre reloading skills. A Varmint should be even more consistent.

Only minor complaint is they shoot slower than other rifles.

Thinking of Tikkas I’ve shot in 6.5CM, 308, 270, 7mm-08, & 30-06. All of them were under 1MOA with 5-shots of their preferred factory ammo.
Of the ones I’ve had in CTR and other heavier barrel models, all have been at or under 3/4MOA for 5-shot groups consistently with their preferred factory ammo.

I can only imagine that if you’re loading for your gun, you can do even better.

My sample size: I’ve probably owned 8 Tikkas in the last 12 years. Currently own 3.
