Surefire ICAR

Well duh.

That’s what we all do

The did with the username HabitualLineStepper sums it up

Not all of us. I'm aware this is The Hide and I'm sure there are some here that would do stuff for 50 more FPS that would make a crack whore say: "Nah...I'll pass".

Outside of this place, there are people that would rather see longevity than a 150fps bump. Crazy...I know.

Kinda ties into some themes in the M7 thread before that went to shit.

Just FYI, the Shell Shock case does not come from increased pressure. The Shell Shock case has more internal volume which = less pressure. Thus, you can use more powder (increase velocity) before hitting the same pressure.

I'd think the speeds I listed earlier in the thread are achievable at 60k PSI or whatever the bolt gun loads are for the 6 ARC.

Am I interested in an 80k PSI variant? Of course!! But I do like reliability too

I won't build any other ar's on any uppers other than the poly lithic style that seekins or aero enhanced or a few others make or even better the ridgeline style design. All of which standard barrels can be used with

Maybe someone will come out with a receicer set with the magwell to accommodate the different size mags with a poly lithic style upper

I've seen the term monolithic used for these receivers for years. Polylithic is a new one for me so I had to look it up.

thanks for looking that up, i was too lazy. but thought it might be some new type of polymer or plastic. hybrid metal/polymer, something new-fangled. AR technology moves so fast, can't keep up.

i was watching a 1977 movie, assassination plot, yesterday. The AR's and semi-auto's depicted as state-of-the-art for back then looked so stone-age vintage, museum relics. Makes what we got nowadays kind of amazing in retrospect.

yeah, i'm not a hipster.
