How to delete an account

Post something really disgusting about Frank (lowlight) that usually works pretty quick. (y):sneaky: Or you will see a contact us button at the bottom of this page and use it.

Why? Looking back on your posts I see no reason to delete them. You’re not thinking about doing something crazy...are you?

Was not aware I needed a reason, or reasons, to leave. Not doing much of anything at my age, a lot more theory than application. But it seems clear to me by responses to some of my posts that my views are not in line with those here. When I post something and a reply to that post is along the lines of 'what the hell does that have to do with shooting' it should be obvious I don't fit in. As Charlie Brown famously said 'no problem is so great or complicated that it can not be run away from'.

As an aside the suggestion to try and get booted is something I consider crazy.

How about you try and ignore the people that hurt your feelings? I can't tell you how many people give me their stupid opinions. This is a forum. Not everyone is going to agree with you. Padded rooms do exist, but helping mold society to enable everyone to have their own padded rooms isn't productive either. My 2 cents.

You totally need authorization in order to leave. You signed up, you can't just quit.

BTW once you're here a bit, you'll figure things out. From your post history I don't see anything I'd be upset with; you just have to figure out whats bullshit and whats not.

P.S. - Buy an MRAD

Sorry Tommy I was trying to be funny  Did you miss the part about the contract button?

I normally don't "delete" accounts without a specific reason, I usually ignore the request and just recommend you log out and not come back.

Too much hassle and it also works within our system to monitor things, like multiple accounts that people try to use.

The system likes them there, and honestly I am not here to police up after you

OP, just stop posting. Eventually, Maser will be along to dry-hump your carcass. No, seriously, he will.

Log out go away

it prevents guys trying to play games with multiple accounts

The idea is to delete 6 years of posting history because at some point I may not feel having that much personal information online is uncomfortable. It's not because I want to take my ball and go home kind of thing.

Surely you realize anything once posted on the Internet lasts for virtually forever.

Just because it is forever doesn't mean that it has to be convenient. Yes I am fully aware that archive.net or whatever still exists.

When the site was recently upgraded at end of 2020, I clicked on Contact Us and sent msgs, twice about this site and only this site is taking too long to load up. All my other sites work just fine, just this one. No reply, so that is why I would like to delete account. I will try Contact Us again and sign out and then, I am outta here!

NOW the Contact Us page will not load up. Hopefully the sign out still works...

Listen to Frank’s latest podcast... asshole.

We don’t delete accounts because of the security system

You can log out without issue

Deleting an account just changes the name it doesn’t delete like you think

I can spam you account that will wipe it

I don't see the big deal. As BMFIC said, if you're not happy here, just log out and don't come back. What do you care if your posts remain? If you said something regretable, well you shouldn't have said it. If not, what do you care? If you're concerned about Big Brother tracking you, that train left the station LONG ago.. As someone else mentioned, anything you post on the internet will be there forever. On most any site, even if you get kicked off, your posts remain forever. Part of the value of forums is the conversations and the ability to look up past (meaningful) conversations. It wouldn't be much of a conversation if the posts of every user that ever quit, got kicked off, got miffed, lost interest, died, etc suddenly got redacted from the conversation.
You can't retract much of anything on the internet once you put it out there. It's just the way it is.
