KRG Bravo Chassis

What would it look, if you add TRG folder from KRG to Bravo:sneaky:.
I just might have that money in the sock for that folder, or fixet.
I dont necessary need that folder, fixed would be great too.

Also noticed this morning (when I ordered one) that the Bravo back end is available as an upgrade to the X-Ray. Very cool.
Thanks for the info. I ordered one today for my X-Ray. IMHO the Bravo ergonomics are way better than the X-Ray.

Dont you feel that the LOP is too short for you, since you have not added those LOP spacers?
I have all 3 and i also have the tool-less butpadd.
For sure i am 6,4", but every one i know that use Bravo, has few spacers on the stock.

I haven’t really laid behind it or messed with it. But I tend to like shorter, for barricades and such. I sat it next to my XLR and it’s pretty much set up the exact same as far as LOP

My Bravo butstock and forend arrived (ordered Wednesday, received Friday), installed on my X-Ray backbone. Now I have two Bravos, one FDE and the other Sako Green. Going to the range today to test.

You use your credit card to pay through a PayPal portal. You don't actually need a PayPal account yourself.

Quick question: I ordered the mag on Sep 8. Money was taken out of the account same day. No movement with any kind of shipment info. Fired off email inquiring about the status on the 15th. Today, I left a voice mail at 714-381-2885. Still nothing. It's been 2 full weeks and absolutely nothing! Can't say that I am too impressed right now. Any hints on when the thing might actually ship?

I can’t believe that someone’s recomended the alpha mag, you’re now getting the only experience I’ve ever heard of with them, ignoring you for months on end. Some claim to get them two weeks after ordering, some six months without a word.
Sure the mags function great: but that’s only if you ever actually get one.

Tell me about the paint job on the bravo.

What is it and how did you do it?

Under the paint is Sako green base color.
Style how i did the paint job is simple.
Use sponge, expendable plates and good quality matte spray paint.
Use your inner artist and dab the color of the different colored plates and then to the stock.
I have done some of those old school camo painting, and those are PITA.
Too much tape work, and this style is quite good looking, they use this same style in the Manners stock painting, and there i go this idea to paint like the pro.
Most importand thing is to get good paints, matt, and be bold, you can over paint if you screw up the job.
And every one do the job like they want, there is no one way to do it, just execute your self, you will like it ;)

I truly don't understand why you're asking me when I'm not a party to the transaction you refer to.

I got mine without an issue and they work extremely well.
I'm sure they work quite nicely, but in all honesty, I think I'm going to call my CC company on Monday and have them contest the charge. In today's world, 2 weeks is plenty of time and this company has given exactly zero effort which is pretty indicative of a scam. Just another reason to hate having to deal with a different mag....

Not good to hear.

I guess the two I have will have to last forever

Alright gentleman, this is my final product after messing around with going back and forth for 2 weeks. Adding weight to rear, grip, and butthook, I lined the cavity with Saran Wrap and took #8 shot from shotgun shells, and covered it with excess Saran Wrap. As for the fore end, I went from adhesive wheel weights, to double sided tape and Saran wrapped #8 shot, to now and ending with lead decoy weights from academy. 3.5 oz each strip and had to trim to fit accordingly. Good thing with this lead, it’s soft enough to cut.

Could someone with a tikka post a pic of the cheek piece. I bought a used Bravo for a CTR and the bolt hits with the cheek piece about 1/8"-1/4" lower than I need it.

Thanks viking78. Looks like I'll get the dremel out later today. And nice rifles, also.

I think you could ask from the KRG, that could they send you the factory made cheekpad for Tikka, but it is almost the same you do it by our self.
All they do is dremmel and file them for now. New molded ones are coming sometime but for now that’s all they are doing.

The molded ones are coming in about 2 months roughly. For now we take the standard cheekpiece and cut it on the mill.

To reiterate, the standard cheekpiece does keep the bolt from traveling all the way to rear at some heights. However, this is due to Tikka putting long action bolt stops in short action calibers in most instances that we've seen.

You don't actually need the bolt to travel all that way rearward when you have a short action caliber (i.e. anything feeding from a regular AICS .308 size mag). With the correct bolt stop, the cocking indicator alone will still hit the cheekpiece but at a pretty narrow range of cheek heights which are higher than the typical shooter will use.

Thank you guys for your business!
Justin

So wish your Bravo stocks for Howa rifles would get through to South Africa! They look great.

Thanks for the info guys. I have a set of Warne low rings that would lower the scope maybe 1/8", which would probably let me lower the cheek piece enough for it to clear. I chose to use a set of Vortex precision matched rings that are just a little higher because it is easier to remove the scope. Getting enough clearance looks like SN easy job with a dremel and file.

That is one way to limit the bolt movement, but it will cost, cheapest is 40$.

Original Tikka T3 short action bolt stop you may find in the Brownells.

I'd like to give a big thank you to the folks ar KRG. I emailed them about the cheek piece for a Tikka Bravo. The next morning I had a response. Today I received an order from them that I placed the same day as the email. To my surprise, there was a new cheek piece in the box. Can't ask for better customer service than that.

Same thing happened to me a month ago. Thanks @Massoud

Hello mate.
Do you mean Bravo chassis?
I was asking about your suppressor. But now I realize you are outside the U.S. so you probably have different options than we do. I would still like to know more about it if you don't mind. I have been looking at buying a Delta P Brevis II suppressor that is short and fat, kind of like the one in your picture.

I need someone to trade me their green 700 footprint for my black one.

Skateboard tape on grip I purchased from my local bicycle shop. they sold it in 12"x12" sheets and it was cheap for as much as I got. foam with adhesive in riser. the link where I purchased it from.. https://holsterops.com/products/cheek-pad-for-rogers-super-stock I purchased 4 of them bc I knew shipping would be a little bit, I think $8.
