It's nothing too special but it was my first build. Had a good time doing it and learned a lot.
When I read "first build" I assumed a PSA m4 clone was gonna pop up, but thats a good looking blaster you got there.

Just standard OD cerakote, the lighting makes it pop more in these photos than it does in person.

Barrel is a 22" chambered by Baldwin Gun Works. I'm shooting 75 ELD M's w/ CFE223 @ 3000 fps. Lapua brass, CCI-450 primers, 28.1gr CFE. It's got a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block and I usually run it suppressed w/ a Sandman S w/ the eBrake.

13.7" pinned/welded. Surprised at how pleasant a shorter gun can be to shoot. Not as flat as my primary match gun but light years ahead of my 10.5" and noticeably softer than the 14.5" lightweight build.

It may sound corny, but nothing is harder on an AR-15 than training hard with an AR-15. Far, far more rounds are sent downrange in a professional work up cycle than will ever be fired in a tour of duty. A rifle built for professional use must have this taken into account with the selection of every single component. Nothing can fail.
Reliability and precision are ensured by only using top shelf components:

Noveske 14.5" hammer forged, chrome lined "Light Afghan" profile barrel with mid-length gas system - At 26.5 ounces in weight, these barrels are not not so heavy as to be burdensome and are sub-MOA capable. Full mass Young Mfg. M-16 bolt carrier - forged, then centerless ground, then hard chromed, and lastly Ionbond DLC coated

JP DLC coated bolt - headspaced at 1.4666"

My Wilson Combat in 6.8 SPC II. I love this rifle. All the silver parts are actually titanium that I polished. It looks badass in person. It's titanium YHM suppressor will eventually finish it off.
Finally finished my 308. Now i just need to go shoot it. I've built several ar15 based but never a large frame so hopefully it shoots well. Everything went together just fine.

Damn, that pic is making me want a 12.5 barrel.
That BA Hanson barrel is great. No joke about that MOA guarentee. The Rainier Arms one is one of the most accurate barrels I have used. I have no joke gotten 1/2 inch 5 round groups at 200 yards. They really are two completely different barrels and i use them for different purposes, hence the optic choice.
Do you have any specific questions about either one of them?

I agree about Rainier though, I bought a Rainier 6.5 Creed ultra match and a Rainier 223 wylde ultra match on here and they both hammered for sure. I think the Rainiers are probably my third favorite after craddock and cle for accuracy oriented builds from what I've tried so far.

Recently, I was asked by a customer to build up some Aero Precision M4E1 lower receivers. I was impressed by the surprising level of quality at such a price point.
So, I picked up several complete M4E1 upper and lower receiver sets. To go with them, I obtained some of the new Dark Hour Defense (aka "DHD") lower receiver parts. DHD is a subsidiary of V Seven, the guys that make the best AR' parts out there out of titanium and aluminum. DHD parts are just as well made, Ionbond DLC coated as well, but made of steel. The DHD parts are the equal in every respect, just weigh a tad more - and cost less.
In my first Aero Precision build, the really important parts in an AR' I left the same: Noveske HFCL 14.5" mid-length "Skinny" barrel; JP Enhanced Bolt, DLC coated; Vltor A5 recoil system; Young Mfg. DLC coated bolt carrier; and Surefire WarComp. I also went with the unbeatable LaRue MBT trigger, BCM MCMR forend, Geissele Maritime Latch, and Surefire WarComp, pinned & welded.
The result is a sub-six pound, hard use capable AR' that will cost over 13% less than a billet and titanium version of the identical weapon, and weigh just a few ounces more.

The forend is the least important part of the AR, from my perspective. So long as it isn't too heavy, free floats, and doesn't contact the gas block, I'm happy.
I do NOT particularly like installing forends that require indexing the barrel nut via torque. I like forends that have barrel nuts totally independent of the gas tube, like BAD, BCM, Fortis, Hodge, Geissele, Triarc, etc.
SLR adjustable gas blocks are working their way into a lot of my builds. So, I like a forend to have room inside of it for an adjustable SLR. Why all forends don't is a mystery to me. The Geissele rails are fine with a fixed gas block, but not the SLR adjustable ones. The BAD, BCM, Fortis, Hodge, and Triarc rails all seem to work fine with an SLR adjustable gas block.
I'm sure there are plenty of others that work fine with them, and no doubt some that don't. I just haven't used them all.
