Hey guys,
trimming, chamfering and deburring brass is the most evil for me in reloading.

I´ve tried the RCBS Pro trimmer with the 3-way-cutter head, but was not satisfied with the results, the deburring is always one-sided.

So I´ve looked around and see, that the Giraud and the Henderson trimmers are probably the best option, but with shipping, customs and taxes, one of them would cost me 700 bucks.
To much money besides of guns, optics, ammo-stuff, etc..

What is the 3rd best option of a 3-way-trimmer around?
My calibers are .223 Rem., 6.5 CM, .30-06 Springfield and probably soon .308 Win..

Which one is fast and good in results?
:)

I'm in the same boat as you, looking for a faster and easier process for brass trimming, deburring. I am still looking for a used Giraud trimmer on here for awhile now with no luck. I heard the laymen trimmer is good, and has good reviews.

Is it only on one side of the case because you arent going deep enough with it to overcome any discrepancies in the neck thickness?

You might want to consider the Trim-It II:

Hey spife,
no, it´s just deburing on one side only.

Maybe because of to much play in the pilot or not being straight (having a bit of an angle), I don´t know.

Gracey with Giraud or Bob Jones carbide cutter blades.

Didn´t know the Gracey yet, just saw someone named it an old design.
Will have to get a bit into it, doing some research.

I can´t find a list of their caliber dies.
Do they have my calibers?
Lots. Its on the Shop page and you scroll down and they are at the bottom

The Henderson uses the Forster cutting head and collets. I have the Forster. It's not as efficient, but for the volume I run, it works okay.

Anyone ever used “the brass muncher “? It’s a router motor with an end mill bit that adapts to Dillon trimming dies. Has a variable speed control. Looked interesting but you can’t chamfer simultaneously.

Need to set the rcbs trimmer up better. It's a pain but worth it

Is there a way to adjust the angle between the shell holder and the turning shaft?

I think that´s where my problems come from.

Great!
Thank you, I will watch it in the evening.
:)

What the heck!
A neck turner which works for the Trim Pro 2!?

Is that new?

I can´t find a video or anything about this.
How does that work?

When trimming and turning, I don't care for any tool that indexes off the base of the case as I find that indexing off the shoulder provide more consistent neck dimensions. But if precision is not really high on the priority list, then it doesn't matter.

Well, I have and use their handheld neck turning tool since half a year or so.

Same thing, I wouldn´t buy it again.

Searched around a bit and the 21st century´s and the Hornady´s stationary are praised.
