Yorkie takes a snakebite for his owner

And lived to tell the tale.
Normally, I'd poke fun at anyone that names a Yorkie "Bear", but this little guy earned it.

Holy smokes! That's a tough feller! I had read somewhere that snakes can regulate the amount of venom they inject, or something like that, depending on what they strike. They should change his name from "Bear" to "Bad Ass MoFo"!

I have seen walker hounds bit in the face by rattlesnakes with thier head swollen up like a basketball still eating and acting normal and happy.
Dogs are tough as hell.

Boudraux the Bassett took a bite from a copper head when my wife and daughter were walking to our creek. He was raising hell at them running back and forth. His foot swelled up and he was a bit stupid for a few hours, then fine. Still has two black marks on his ankle 4 years later.

my last German shorthair was helping as he always did with never leaving my side while pressure washing a house. Blasted about half dozen black widows out of the corners of some windows. Then right as I had a double cascading down the wall of water he came running by at what seemed the perfect time to brush up against the wall. He went to hollering like a stuck pig so I ran him in the house and he started having uncontrollable nerve spasms in his rear legs. Called my vet and she said give him a Benadryl and unless something crazy happens he should be fine. Crazy nerve spasms all over body for about 4 hours then they started subsiding went to bed that evening and when we woke up in the morning he was back to 100% GSP bouncing off the walls ready to hunt. Dogs are tough for sure
