Well if I were to rethink my stance on it more acutely, the problem at the core in my opinion is voters who vote themselves into dumbassery then they get pissed when it blows up in their face. If they will ever learn is in doubt personally, so I'll admit my solution is not very "nice" and I intend to stay out of it unless they come round my community. I live where I live because it's not full of fucked in the head tax trash, I'd never invest anything in an area like Portland, or Asheville, or DC because I don't want shit to do with those areas at all. I hate the cities. I think it's the dumbest shit to live on top of people like rats and pay for public transportation, public housing, public fuckery to no end. So my compassion is very limited for folks who chase the dream of civilization until the horses choke and die from the reliance of the passengers, whoever they be.
If things were meant to be different, they would be. Things are this way for a reason, and that reason is these people rely too much on others and don't think more than a few inches in front of their own face. If we were more self sufficient in our security, our nutrition, our education, our liberties— then this shit wouldn't be a fucking problem at all. All the same people with money flock to the cities to start a business relying only on location, contribute practically shit to their own communities, and then cry when it goes under because the community tides change. They gambled, and are now losing hard.
So it's basically a whirlwind of stupidity and greed in my opinion. Probably not a popular opinion, surely there are good folks and business owners in those areas, but they are in the minority. Once they realize they deserve better they will not return, and the rest of the nation will welcome them in their towns and cities.
