Has anyone ran or runs Nivisys devices? Any feedback?

Well, if the NIvisys TAC's M actually manufactured by Safran Optics 1 counts, then yes.

The TACS M performs pretty well. Its menu is simpler to navigate than the PAS 29A menu.

I think Original MUMs were Nivisys. @Victor-TNVC will know.

The REAL MUM was my first NOD. I really loved that thing. Then I got the MUM bino (NVBS, I think) from Ed Wilcox. That thing was the bomb. I liked it better than my 15’s.

Maybe I’m remembering them more fondly than reality, but I think I like the NVBS more than 31A’s and the DTNVG — aside from tube considerations. Supposedly submersible to 66-feet.

    Probably nostalgia.

I responded on the same topic on another site.

Around 10-15 years ago (changed owners nowadays) they were probably the best NV boutique shop out there. They led the way on the MUM's, still have several of them I got my housings from them.

They were probably the first outfit to debut an integrated MUM dive mask that I also dived with. They were checked on with NSW so that dive mask was no surprise.

They had a LOT of cool stuff back in the day. I miss their crew they had on staff as well.

Edit, yea I ran dual MUMS! We made the first dual MUM mount back in the day. Got hammered we charged $300 for that mount. It was very cool for the time and not sure anything else was made in the dual mount category 13 years ago or so. Need to dig those out!

I am potentially looking into the TAWS

For what its worth...they have been very responsive to my emails...so much so that I am going to give them a try for one of their TAWS setup...I can't run nods...they gave me a headache for days...so hoping the thermal setup won't have the same effect.

Sounds like you don’t have them set up right then...

Well. I had eye issues since I was born with surgeries...so certain lighting conditions don’t play well...

you’re definitely not focusing your nods right.
Maybe but knowing my medical background...probably not...I can’t use green dot optics either...anyways...I’ll report back once I have the thermal in hand.
