Goodbye Kimber....

Terribly sorry to hear man. 🍻

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my best buddy this past April and not a day has gone by that I don't think of him. Kimber was a beautiful lady.

You weren't feeding a grain free diet, by chance?...
When my boy was still living I fed him Orijen Senior. Then, to my horror, I found out that this supposedly great food was actually killing dogs. I didn't change (he was almost 14 by then) and figured he got enough chicken and rice from sweating me out to get the nutrients needed. I'll just go to Pro Plan when I get another dog (sporting breed for me ...likely another black Lab).

Man, I'm so very sorry to hear this. I remember you posting pictures of her when you got her, and then I remember her having some type of intestinal surgery. I was very happy to hear about the success of the surgery.

This breaks my heart, I can only imagine how difficult it has been. đź’”

Sorry for your loss. They aren't like family, they are family.
Check with your vet to be sure she is cremated alone, not with other animals.

Are dogs add so much joy to are lives and I am sorry for your loss.Just remember all the good times you had with her and keep the faith.God Bless

So the vet figures it was either a stroke or a brain aneurysm to go as instantly as she did. She was in otherwise perfect health.

I thank you all for the warm regards and kind words. In the short 5 months that I owned her she became a part of me. It's hard but I'm thankful she went without any pain. I think the hardest part is my Fiance's dog never even noticed what happened to her. He was still walking around the yard looking for her when I found her and now he's walking around the house looking for her every couple minutes.

Damn onion ninjas are powerful. I’m so very sorry for your loss. They most certainly become part of you.

The fiance and I made a box to hold our puppy's ashes. Inside is her favorite pillow case, her two favorite toys, her leash from when we first got her and her dog tag. The inside of the lid will be signed by those that knew her and loved her. This will be buried deep in the Garden where she used to love to play.

The Vet will also be giving us a paw print on Canvas that we will be putting with a picture, her last collar, and one of her baby teeth that fell out last week.

Some close friends got us these. The stone we will place where we found her. The pendants are made to hold some of her ashes and have her name inscribed onto the back.

It just keeps getting more and more dusty in here. Awesome friends you've got. I pray you'll find some peace as you go through this.

The poem Rainbow Bridge says it better than I can.

Our GSD ashes who was 16 years old sleeps right next to me on the night stand in her box. Said to the Mrs., please open my casket and put her in for me.

Really do not like to read when a dog goes.
