I have the Leupold MK4 MR/T and I think it's a decent scope seems to have worked fine so far.
I know its not clone correct, but I threw a Premier 3-15 in a Badger Unimount on mine. I wanted a Gen2XR but settled for a G2 Mil Dot because I searched forever and just pulled the trigger on the first one I found. Perfect size for the MK12.
I wish I had more magnification for shooting groups and doing load development but 15x is perfect for anything practical at any range you're gonna run a 556 out to.

I ran an M3 3.5-10 Vari-X III, the NXS 2.5-10x32 and the NXS 2.5-10x24.
For all around shooting, the 32mm NXS is my choice. The M3 is a great meat eater scope but when I move from 100-200 to 700 quickly, fucking with the parallax made it “slow”. The fixed parallax of the NXSs are fast, and the 32mm has much less parallax than my 24mm. That said, I have taken the 24mm to 1k with 77SMKs over 24.5gr RL-15 without any trouble if the wind is down.
I also own a 3.5-15 F1. Terrific scope. If you’re not worried about clone correct I don’t know that you could go wrong with it.

I have owned the 2.5-8 Leupold. It very much feels like looking through a 90's hunting scope. Think weird tight 2-7 Vari X ii eye box. I would in no way pay $1500 for one. Especially knowing what $1500 could buy you(Mark 5 or Gen 3 Razor). I am also not a cloner in anyway. I wouldn't compare it to the NXS 3.5-15 either.
Also if a MK-12 were in anyway floating around an arms room now it would probably wouldn't have that Leupold on it anymore. Those are super neat rifles to shoot. I wouldn't want to be hobbled by the glass.
