Anyone have any experience with the Berger 130gr VLD Hunting in the 6.5 Creedmoor. I would be using them for shooting steel. Local farm store has 2-500 cout boxes thinking about picking them up if they are any good.

I’ve used a few thousand in 6.5 x 47L. They are a little sensitive to jump but you’d probably never notice shooting steel within practical range of a Creed- 1000-1200 ish yards. I moved to hybrids, but never worried shooting with vld’s.

I have shot them in my hunting rifles and have done long range matches with them. Not the latest thing, but still a good bullet. IIRC, the difference between the hunting and target VLDs is that the target VLDs have a slightly thicker jacket.

i use the berger 130 OTM....works fantastic on Antelope and Mule deer,,,

They shoot great in my 6.5x47 over 37 grains of Varget but I jam them, unless you can find the sweet spot jumping them in a 65 creedmoor SAAMI chamber if thats what you have it could be hit or miss.
If they don't shoot good for you I have no doubt you could sell the rest on here.
I have switched to the 130 Hybrid since i tried both.
