I just acquired a nice 300 win mag could somebody help with my load development. I'll be shooting barnes 150gr TSX, I have several powders

that is pretty light for the 300WM . same what ( glock63 ) said .. 150 grn. weight Reloader 22 and go higher into 76 grain .
BUT ..If you bump up to heavier though, like 180 to 190 weight . Drop it down at, 72 grain Reloader 22. and start there for work-up .
.

I am new to reloading however a fairly avid hunter. Lots success w Berger VLD hunting bullets, was buying custom 300 win at 185gr however My source has dried up.... decided to load my own. Bought Berger 175gr VLD hunting bullets and looking for recommendations on loads for my 300 win mag. Any guidance or recommendations would be great. Savage 111, 24” barrel with 1:10 twist

I just finished one yesterday for a friend. 175 vld. 75 grains of reloaded 19. .010 off the lands. I would start at .010 off the lands and work powder charge up watching for pressure. I don't know the starting load for re19. If the rifle doesn't like that increase the seating depth in .010 increments. Other good powders I've used are h4831,reloaded 22, h1000. Same advice working up with the other powders.

@pabrousseau thank you for the reply and sharing. I forgot to mention I would be using RL22. I also asked Berger and the following is the response they gave me. Thought I would share in kind

Please see the attachment for load data. All load data is based on the COAL listed with the data. Load data is conservative and was generated using Quick Load. BERGER VLD load development info is here: https://bergerbullets.com/vld-making-shoot/ …. Any bullet seating depth testing should be done using the starting charge listed for the bullet and powder combination you are loading. Once the bullet seating depth accuracy node is found, work the powder charge back up slowly checking for pressure signs and accuracy until the velocity accuracy node is found.
Also be sure your bullet seating die has a VLD bullet seating stem installed.

Any reason you dont want to go heavier? I shoot the 215 hybrids over 77.1 grains of H1000
