I don't have photos, but one day last season an eagle came in and checked out my goose decoys. A little later that day an osprey did the same thing.

Watching a squirrel run along the top of the fence yesterday. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught what looked like something fall from one of the trees, swoop down to the tree and bye, bye squirrel. Probably in my sight less than two seconds, but pretty sure it was an Osprey. We've seen more than in any previous year. Must be the rona.

It probably has more to do with the natural 7-year cycle in nature. It’s a banner year for squirrels and probably also was last year. Predator activity increases accordingly and larger members of predators around. I another year or so, you will notice the decline in squirrels for a while.
