66.5 MOA. No wind.

Edited to add: 6,200 feet elevation

Load is over maximum so work up carefully.

Complain all you want about a one shot group.

The objective was to see if the 6.5 CM could hit anything at one mile.

The hit was walked in obviously but the fifth shot.

Mission accomplished.

Also interested in trying out my 6.5cm. The longest range I found is 1680yds so it’s a little short of 1 mile.

AWESOME! That's my goal. New to sport, and have MRAD 6.5CM, and taking course in early October. Loaded up on 1200 rounds ($ ouch) Hornady Factory Match ELD 140 gr.

Very cool and congrats! I also was able to get my 6.5 B14HMR out to a mile, not easy but certainly not impossible!

Just yanking your chain, nice shot! I always try and stop at the mile plate in Green River when I'm passing through. The wind can make it sporty that's for sure and to not have it would be sweet!

There is some truth to this.

The range is just over the border into Idaho in the Big Hole Mountains.

No wind at the shooting position doesn’t say anything about wind 25 feet up over a canyon.

It does amaze me that a little bullet will hit something one mile away. One mile is the end of the strip across the canyon.

600 yards to the first target.
 
I’ve witnessed two members here get get hits at 1810 yards with their 6.5 CM and have had my 260 at a bit over that.
If conditions are decent it’s not overly difficult.
 
Good shooting, especially on a target that size. I shot steel at 1 mi with 6.5 CM earlier this year. But my target was 18"x24". I did have about 13 mph wind though. It took me 5-6 shots. Very satisfying...as you now know!
BTW, that's a sweet spot to shoot from. Off your back deck?

I had the chance to stretch out my 6.5 creed yesterday before burning the barrel. Shot 5 rounds at 400 to check elevation, and was able to hit the 1660 yard target on 2nd shot using 147 eld match. I didn't feel quite as satisfied maybe because it was a full ox size target. It actually felt better hitting the 18x24 steel at 1570 yards.

@wil_pt, Elmore Stock Farms in Laura, IL? 1680 rings a bell. Don't short yourself with 1660 dope, it's 1680 otherwise, I'd have first-round'd it my first time there. Plus it's not exactly a scale buffalo...

Pretty stoked I got it with a 20" 308 175gr SMK on the 2nd round. Last year, went 3 for 4 off the RRS tripod with a 130gr Fed GMM factory 6.5CM on "Elmore".

I mean, yeah...it's a BIG target still. The body not counting the legs is probably 3-4 feet depending on where you measure. Tail to nose is probably about 6 feet. I kinda wish they'd put a full IPSC there on the line with it. What target did they have at 1570? 1280 used to be the max before you got to the buffalo.

18x24 steel plate at 1570. We recommended adding a smaller target beside the buffalo. Adding a KYL was also mentioned.
 
As my son reminds me, hitting anything at extreme ranges takes real skill, pat yourself on the back for a fine accomplishment.

Nice job! I was out in South Dakota this September and was able to reach my 6.5 Creedmoor out to 2,100 yards, it took 10 shots for a hit.
