When I get to run both of these pieces of equipment on the same crisp, late fall day, I’m a happy man.

Your bar is on upside down and the chain is backwards. Not sure how you cut with it. All BS aside...

Like both of those pieces of equipment. I ran my 461 Monday. Wood x saw = work.

This arrived yesterday and will keep me away from saws until I get cold

Where are the cobia?
Beer can looks empty. Must be before 0900.

A buddy of mine got spooled out of 200yds of 50lb braid the other day.
Damn thing went up the discharge channel and he couldn't turn it.

I never got on the cobia Thursday or Friday at Big Bend. I continuously circled the markers and drifted the channel with no luck. Blacktips are everywhere right now and are a good time on the yak.

Skunked 3 years ago. Shoulder surgery 2 years ago. Recovering from breaking my knee last year.
First deer in quite a while.
I was walking to where I wanted to sit and watch the lane when this feller stepped out and looked away from me. About 100 yards away. 450 bushmaster topped with a Nikon 3x9. Form 1 on the end.
At 0708 I filled my tag. Hunted The rest of the day with my buddies. Great day!

Most of the better cobia are coming in under the radar, or manatees in this case.
Find the manatee coming in parallel to that flat on the north side of the channel.
Toss a shrimp or a paddle tail and let it go under the gray fatty.
Hold on.

So today, I am sitting down to enjoy some delicious home made ham and potato soup that Wife started yesterday and I see movement out my window. I put the soup down and picked up the Russian binos that dad picked up in Europe somewhere and watched some does. I Could use my landowner tag, but nah. Kept watching the woods behind the garage and noticed a few more does moving around. Then I saw why the were moving. Mr. Buck was sniffing around.
I watched for a minute and thought, why not. Went and got the Para .45 and went around the garage to wait. Not 5 minutes later with visions of mounting a doe clouding his mind, Mr. Buck walked out in the clear. And that was that but for the cleaning.

Started today watching the sun come up, watched it set last night too. Had my grandfather’s Weatherby with me, KS rifle season. About 30 min after sun up I see a very nice buck 300 yards out one problem not on my property.... season ends next Sunday.
My parents came out today to get firewood. So I ran the MS261 for a bit. I bought the 80ac. and saw dad gets free labor and a truck bed half full of walnut. I get a tree out of my shooting lane. Anyone want to guess who will hand split the bigger logs later??
Dad brought his new 45 colt single action. I enjoyed watching him shoot it for the first time.
My last can got picked up yesterday so we played with the other 45. It’s was a great day.

Wish I took a picture of the 45s together.

We have had one of the mildest stretches of Nov/Dec weather in recent memory. My morning staggers are usually mid teens and today's pm high was 39°, mild breeze and full sunshine. It is terrible dry, the frost is going to deep this year (frozen water mains and sewer lines) unless we get lots of insulating snow. As of today, we have no snow. None, nada.

Took advantage of the conditions to finish up the Christmas lights.

That's about the extent of the decorating this year. If my kids found out I used a ladder, they would get really pissed, so don't tell them.

Need to get the grandkids a couple more little stocking stuffers and the eldest G. daughter her silver coins. That will take care of the presents. As to where everybody will be and when...have to play that day at a time. We have high, and climbing, covid numbers up here.

And that's the status report from S.E. Central Upper Dakota.

You’re doing good C. Mild here as well with close to record breaking highs (low 50’s) over the next day or so. We’ll take it, only to pay for it later on. Hooterville signing out.

Same here with the silver. I used to give them Morgan's for Christmas until I learned they had been spent. Now I give them scratch tickets so they can learn how to throw money away quicker. I still give them a 10 oz. bar when they become teenagers, don't want to know about those. Same weather here in NE Nebraska we need some snow also.

Clinton Dam.....you were about 5 miles from the Pack and Post and some of the finest old guns available.

Across the street is a neat railroad tunnel about 1000 feet long.

Just follow the line of the rail foundations in the river to the north east and you will see the tunnel entrance.

Some real neat grafitti....be sure to bring a flashlight.

@Tallahassee view in summer....

After two knee surgeries, the old lady's knee is finally staying together. She likes doing the stairs over there, so we have been spending a lot of time there. She wont go near the tunnel though.

Wife just had her knee scoped Tuesday.

We should drop them off with each other so they can hobble around together. You and I can go shooting with @Nik H

Yes dont get her in the tunnel, The floor is broken footing and its dark as can be with the added distraction every time you look to the other end its like staring into a flash light and your pupils get all balled up.
