Looking for recommendations on a barrel for a Rimx nothing to fancy just for local NRL matches.
I was thinking 20" m24 profile 1/2x28 threads for my DA mask. I recently had to cancel my current order due to unknown fulfillment date.
I was looking at a green mountain by keystone using Padom reamer.
What do you guys recommend and like. Hopefully nothing to crazy on ship times.

Can't speak to the performance yet, but I ordered a Green Mountain 20" M24 W/Padom chamber from Keystone on 11/29 and had it in hand on 12/10 so they definitely have the speed part down. The RimX thread and testing thread by @padom have plenty of target results posted you should check out, padom tested a bunch of barrels.
Fit and finish were as expected. Just finished my assembly a few minutes ago and plan on testing out tomorrow.

I think MTU is heavier? I'd go with a 20" MTU vs M24 if that was the case. Getting the weight as much as you can in your barrel is the best for balance for NRL. My next rifle I personally was going to go with a 20-22" MTU to get the right balance. Most chassis/stocks are made for people running M24/26" barrels for centerfire so if you want to make it balance like those PRS rigs, get a MTU contour 22 barrel.

Correct, MTU is about 3/4 pound heavier from what I have seen. And also correct, after assembly and dry run with some positions the MTU would have made for a better balance. I am running in a MPA BA and the cog is right at the mag well when I was hoping it would be about 2" in front. Bad calculation on my part.

Yeh I spent a lot of this year with different weight configurations. Best chassis right now to achieve good balance on a rimfire is either an XLR or a lightened up MDT (have them swap the buttpiece to an alu one).

This is an MDT ACC w/ lightened buttpiece, 5 internals, and 3 pairs of externals. It balanced 2.25" from the action screw.

I would recommend heavy profile (MTU) and 20 or 22” to ensure good balance.

I see so many pics of people running the Proof barrels but very little feedback. I’m thinking a building a RimX to compare with my Vudoo and the Proof barrel is at the top of my list.

I am running a IBI with the calfee 4 chamber. Use case is NRL22x type matches. Id suggest 22" mtu or heavier profile for best balance.
My IBI is not picky and a very consistent shooter. I found the accuracy improved for approximately the first 1000 rounds. I have no issues with extracting live rounds etc. I would buy a IBI again.
