I wish I could say that no ammo was injured in the filming of this video ... but I can't. In these days of constrained supply ... it's hard to imagine a video like this ever being shot. It was interesting, but I found myself screaming things like "I don't care about whether a forklift running into a pallet of 308 cartridges at 20mph will ignite any of the rounds. I JUST WANT ONE FRIGGIN' CASE OF THAT AMMO (before you destroy it)". And driving the tank over all that ammo was just plain "cruel and unusual punishment".

If you haven't seen this ... see if it makes you cringe like it did me.

That just ain't Christian.....Interesting caliber choices. I wonder how much of the ammo never made it to the test site?

In the 115,000 round simulation never showed any military sealed ammo cans like most of us have in our shops. I wonder if that would have made a difference. Also reloading primers, muzzle loader caps and black powder were not tested and are in almost every store where you get reloading components and ammo. That would change some things.

They just burnt up 250000 rounds in a trailer. :( That would have kept me shooting for at least a week.;)

    Army Jerry weeps.

Note the video is from 8 years ago.

I've literally seen the FD let a house burn because there was ammunition in the house. It was total bullshit.

Better keep that to yourself if you ever need 'em.

I could have told you all this shit without going through any of that though. I can up the ante too and say it's relatively safe to open up 120mm mortar pallets with a fire axe and that crates of hand grenades busting up on the road and rolling around are relatively safe too.

What you don't wanna do though is stuff a bunch of MRE heaters in a gatorade bottle with a cup of water and close the lid.
