Does anyone else get a mild panic attack when this happens? I mean ... I have more ... but there's just something "sad" and "final" about throwing away a depleted sleeve and opening a fresh one. It's not like you can just drop by the local gun shop and grab another brick, or jump online and order more. Right?

Please join me in a respectful moment of silence, for this sleeve of Primers that may "never" be replaced. They willingly gave their last full measure of devotion ... for my 6.5 Creedmoor load development. (The half-full jug of StaBall is heard quietly weeping in the background.)

I fret the day I finish the 8lb jug of varget i opened last may 😔

I feel your pain with the finishing of a sleeve of primers. It pains me that I don’t have more.

I just reloaded my first primers yesterday. I used prime all compound. Yeah it kinda sucked, but it worked. And the 5 lbs i ordered is enough to do 10,000 primers if i ever get deperate.

As I look at those sleeves, my anxiety is, why can’t I find a use for such a well engineered package. (Then I sling them towards the trash can, boomerang style and watch them gently curve into the intended target)

It's almost time to start saving old ones. You may want to hang on to that.

Even worse is when its still on the shelf, you think its a full 100 primers, and when all else is gone you open it to this ^^

I absolutely got caught with my pants down on pistol primers. Reloading 9mm and casting bullets seemed crazy to me a year ago. Hopefully shipping containers full of them hit our shores soon.

They cut primers out and you have to reload your old primers ....... I think it would be better to use a musket

Finished a sleeve of 450’s and cracked into another last night. A single tear fell.

If you were around 2008/2009/2013 then you knew what could or would happen again due to the elections. This time around add in the "plandemic" plus all the new shooters and you have the shitstorm we are in now. I vowed that I would never run short again. I have helped family and a few friends as well as done a few trades and have lowered my primer supply by 7000. I have determined that is going to be the extent of my charity . I feel that those who failed to see the warning signs and act accordingly will have suffer through the next couple of years and hopefully learn from their mistakes . I have enough primers to last me the next 2/3 years at the rate of 15 to 20 thousand rounds per year. 55 years ago I learn a valuable motto "Be Prepared"

I had a br4 roll off the bench into a full garbage can last week, took about 5 minutes to find that little fucker, but I got it. Would have any of you done the same?
I may have moved the entire reloading bench because a couple br4s went behind it.... So don't feel bad about the trash can

Anxiety and depression are hard to fight. I have had problems with it and I know that you need to stay strong.

Now "THIS" is anxiety ... my awesome local range in Central Oregon just closed indefinitely due to drought and fire risk. Hard to imagine it opening back up without some rain, which probably won't happen until "October". I just went from "Anxious" over primer supplies ... to "Depressed" over nowhere to shoot.

On the bright side, when I stopped by my LGS a few weeks back and they had 8k BR4s I got so excited I threw my hands up in the air and rejoiced like a gold medal winner at the special olympics.

You can’t buy that kind of excitement. Last time I felt that kind of joy was Christmas morning at around eight years old.

If you love your primers, you must set them free. You can't just keep them locked away in a cold, dark cage. Let them do what they were made to do, and be at peace. Namaste.

    Um ... NO ... I'm hoarding mine.

An old aviation joke from my flying days applies:

Q: What can you never have enough of?
A: (1) Fuel in the tank, (2) Runway ahead of you, and (3) Altitude beneath you.

I'm adding ... (4) Primers on the shelf.

My son's friend is having a very bad time with anxiety. She was talked into going to the beach with all of her women friends. They got into the house about midnight and the girl went to bed. When her room mate went to go to bed a few hours later, she got into the same bed and the girl was laying there shaking in fear. They all went into the room and tried to talk to her.

Ultimately, she cried so much and wanted to go to her Mom's house (she doesn't live there). They got to her mom's house and she fell asleep and slept for 26-27 hours. She's a complete wreck. She will need professional help to get her though this.

Nothing like taking off into the wind with the altimeter showing a rise in altitude, the VSI showing a positive rate of climb, airpseed was at best angle of climb and couldn’t clear the top of the damned trees next to the runway. (Unknown was the runway in question was sloping up hill.). Both my son and I remember, getting into that little field was something of a bitch as well. Never went there again.

Got a great picture of myself, Will III and Brenda standing next to the Skyhawk we were flying that day.

Has anyone asked her if she felt like she was running out of primers? It never hurts to ask ...

Vast majority of my flying time was in a C-130 ... very different set of problems to solve.
