This is an interesting one.

I bought a few of these units, and Im selling 3

DETAILS: Northrop Grumman MARK VII (Day/Night Laser Range Finder)
  • 10,000m Range
  • Day & Night Capable
  • $35,000 Original Price Tag
I sent these out to Jay (Sure Shot NV) to convert them to white phosphor. When he opened them up, low and behold these are rebranded Vectronix units. He currently has Elbit WP tubes to install in these... and Jay can coat the housing any way you'd like.

Major problem with these units were the batteries. They were proprietary non-rechargeable, 3.6v units that cost about $60 each. I found an adaptor that allows it to work with a rechargeable lithium, solving the Achilles heal.

PRICE: $3,750 Shipped / Insured Each
WHAT YOU GET: For The Listed Price
  • New Elbit WP Tube, and installation done by Jay
  • Standard black housing
  • Cary case, and cables
  • 10,000m Range Ability / Day or Night
  • 2 Lithium Batteries & 2 Adaptors
Since these are still at Sure Shot, They could be coated.

Here is an article that talks about these things - Firearm Blog / NG Mark VII

If your into the ELR Game - and want to do it at night - These units are the answer

Thanks,

I'll take one, if someone backs out. I have plenty of 100% positive feedback on ar15.com and building some on here now too.

1 - cschastain2 SPF
2 - GBMaryland PAID
3 - EazyID SPF

I apologize to anyone else I didn't get back to... These went A LOT faster than anticipated

No, I personally don’t want a refund yet...I understand if you might. However, I’d like to give them plenty of time to work through the unforeseen issues they’re having, while they are both actively working on them. They are both very capable and solid good guys and I’m confident they’ll solve the issue, if at all possible and that it might take some time for them to troubleshoot. I do know they will exhaust every resource to solve the issue. Sometimes these sort of oddball units can understandably have a glitch or two and can give a guy fits until the solution is achieved, then everything is understood about the unit in the end, which is ultimately a good thing. I do know these kind of guys put a lot of pressure on themselves to deliver a high quality product anyway and want to have happy customers. Without my/customer support for an older modified oddball unit, it increases their self-induced pressure. I’m going to remain patient for the fix and help if I can with the solutions. If it works out...it will be well worth the patience spent and in the end I know they’ll be there ultimately to support their customers.
They will be fantastic capable little units in the end if the bugs get worked out and well worth the price and patience.

If any of your customers choose to bow out on their transaction, I'm a buyer, as I posted above. Just PM me. Thanks.

No, not yet... Per an update from Jay this afternoon... He has the tubes in hand, and is currently tearing them apart.

I would imagine a few more days.

Thanks,
Nick Tobis
