I am looking for a solid quick disconnect base or rings so I can change out from day optic to thermal. Preferably something that is repeatable, so when I remount my day optic I am not having to go through a total re-zero vs just a confirmation.

    Any suggestions?

ADM Recon. The ring component of the mount is modular, and extra sets of rings are available separately, so you can accommodate scopes of varying tube diameter. If you are mounting the scope on a semi-auto (AR10, SCAR, etc), get the non-cantilevered Recon-S model, to help tame the stress on your scope from the heavy bolt slamming forward.

ADM & LaRue have worked well for me. My hunting buddy uses Bobro and ADM mounts on his hunting rifles, and they always return to zero. He hunts coyotes weekly and switches between standard optics and thermals on 3 of his rifles, and all his ADM & Bobro mounts have been flawless.

I’ve have larue and adm QD mounts. They both are solid and high quality. If I had to give an edge I’d probably say the Larue “seems” more solid. If price is not option I’d vote larue, but you could save a few bucks going ADM and they are still really nice.

I use ADM Recon-S mounts in a number of my AR's and when remounting require very little readjustment to zero again.

All of my ADM mounts have always returned to zero when removed/reinstalled.
4 out of 5 rifles wear them.
