MPA PMR Pro Action Break-in

Hey Guys:

Is there anything special I can do to help break-in my new MPA PMR Pro left hand action?

I understand the action is a Curtis Axiom that is re-branded by MPA. It is finished in raw stainless and the bolt is black nitrided with fluting.

To be honest, the action in my Bergara B-14 HMR is a little smoother. Love the 60 degree throw and the bolt lift is good. I have a old Browning A bolt hunting rifle that is also a 60. I know it will improve with time.

Thanks.

In and out. Open and close are fine. If I really work it hard and fast, it isn't as smooth as I would like.

You could try to LIGHTLY polish the raceways, but the best way is to just use it like cgobeli said. Plus it's funner to shoot than polish.

I also like the Hornady One shot spray for cleaning/lube.

Also, I have been using the Swanny's Bolt Action Oil, a little bit on the raceways makes the in/out nice and smooth.

I have some One Shot in my reloading gear and will give it a shot. I hope to get the scope mounted and out to the range before week's end.

I like Gun Butter and Lucas oil on the bolt.
