Is it possible to have relatively low two piece mounts mounted straight and true to accept rings properly on a R700 ?
Leupold 15 moa MK IV come to mind.
I have seen rifles from a very busy builder(Mike) using this and I am interested to know who and what is involved.
 
It would seem bedding could be helpful. Mention of problems with mounting holes location is hidden from a home bedding attempt.
 
Nothing wrong with them I use them on all my hunting rifles. I swear they don't look as neat as a rail though lol .
