Hi hide, looking for some input on a new bubble level.I have 2 vortex levels on my and my son’s 6.5 creedmoor’s.both have had issues loosening up and when tighten them down a bit, they strip out.some krazy glue held for the remainder of the match but looking to upgrade to something better.so far I am looking at
-halo-x
-accuracy 1st
-send it
The send it would cost about $560 for 2 with 90 degree mounts, the other 2 about $100 each.definately want something I can see without breaking a cheek weld
All input is welcome.any other levels you like, let me know as well,as always input appreciated

Adjust your reticle leveled with your NPA and save that hard earned money for something else.

I had a MK machining level that would slip when tightening to the point I never could get it quite right.

I replaced it with the accuracy 1st level and haven’t had any issues with it. Easy to install, stays put, and works perfectly.

If you have room on your scope rail, you might consider the Flatline Ops Tango RM level. There is also a version which attaches to a Spuhr mount. It's very easy to see with your nonfiring eye, but you have to remember to flip it out.
I have one and reason I bought it was the ability to make micro adjustments to the level as just putting one on a pic rail is no guarantee of it actually matching level of the gun.

Took a bit of fiddling but I’m now happy that gun level and the flatline level are the same.

I also like how it folds out of the way.

I always thought that the send it level was too expensive and I would never pay that for a level. Well I got one and I love it. On the clock under stress it's the easiest and best way to go.

The whole npa thing doesn't always work in compromised positions on the clock.

There is something going on with the mounting if they are slipping and you are stripping them. Are you tightening them to the proper torque or at least snug? I have the Vortex LoPro levels on scopes for years and never had one loosen. Are you using the Lo Pro or the older version with 2 screws?

+1 I ran Vortex Lo Pro levels on all my scopes for dozens of matches and for 2 years and never had one come loose.

The HaloX is pretty sweet.

Buy 2 spuhr mounts and be done with it.
If I’m understanding right, you suggest he replace his current rings (which apparently have no problems) with a $400 Spuhr mount because it has an inferior scope level built into it? That doesn’t seem like solid logic and doing it twice seems even more perplexing.

I have several of these on my long range rifles ... they are AWESOME (if you can afford the best).

You current issue is with a product that no one else has a issue with..

Spuhr inferior

Are spuhr levels not level?

Will a spuhr level ever get knocked out if alignment like “add on” levels?

Are they not considered a tier 1 scope mount?

ive had almost every add on level as well as levels integrated into the rings and rails.

hope you find a product that works.

If the rail is integral then you can trust it.

Many actions that have non integral rails are not square with the action.

if the optic spins the rail level does not..your out

the more parts between the scope and level leaves more possible issues.

Is it beneficial to mount the level on the optic opposed to the rifle rail?

I think so as you will know it’s level. I have seen too many rail mounted levels not be level due to machining tolerances. I don’t like levels on mounts as they are under the scope and you usually can’t see them when behind the scope. I mount mine so I can see it right over my parallax knob easily from behind the scope.

While SPUHR does come with a small level built into the rear of the mount, they are about worthless if you are trying to use them once you establish your cheek weld. I tried a level once but found myself not really using it so I took it off the optic.

I have had 4 Spuhr mounts where the level was off, so yes... They can come in not level.... Do some research this isn't something that just came out of the wood work. It has been discussed before.

Will do...thanks

Thanks for all the info everyone,I ordered 1 halo-x and 1 sniper acculevel.will try them both and pick a winner

I wouldn't buy anything that flips out. After using it for a while there will be wear. I would have gotten two Halo-X if you were stuck on them but test them and see how they work.
