There is something coming up on the 6th of September. I would guess that it is time to start saving up money, again.
Håkan has been seen using what I assume is a prototype or a full on production model when he took part of some shooting competitions lately.

I would guess that it will be available for R700, Tikka T3(x) , Sauer STR and possibly Sako TRG, maybe even Blaser as there are not alot of options for them, and there are a lot of Blaser users in Scandinavia. But that is my own hypothesis.

Speculations?

I wish I could, I dont have instagram either, I thought the link took you directly to the picture?
Did you try to click it? It is just a teaser picture, no picture of the whole chassis has leaked (yet).

It's forcing me to use a login to continue.

It’s just a pic of a guy using what looks like a lathe of some kind. Not even a hint of any chassis in the pic. He is wearing a shirt that has “SPUHR Ideal Chassis System” printed on it.

I'm quite excited... Not, maybe, because I'm going to buy one just yet. But it is always interesting to see what Håkan @Spuhr is up to.

They need to keep it down somewhat. If it starts pushing past 3500, many will most likely pass on it and spend a bit more and get an AIAT-X

Where are you seeing that it’s a complete rifle? It looks to be just a chassis from what’s been posted.

What features are still lacking from what is currently available?

I think we could see further development of the recoil lug engagement - I think Mega was one of the first to introduce a lock of sorts, ARC has one and im sure others.
Guessing the proliferation of new metals and/or the hybrid metal/wood/composite offerings will become more prevalent?
What else could we see in the near-ish future.

Steel forends

Ergonomic thumb shelf like a manners/mcmillan with thumb more on top than on side

Integral spigot

Short and Long action interchangeability (JAE style)

Arcalok like the Xylo

Although it’s not really new since benchrest stocks have done this for a long time, wider foreends for stability on bags would be great. We’ve seen this with the MPA competition side rails and the stackable weights for the AT-X, but I’m not sure there’s any reason why we shouldn’t just have a three inch wide foreend for a comp chassis.

Id agree.

The Foundation Centurion is a start but then add an arca and you're back to 1.5" in reality

Needs to be wider yet have enough room to fit the a419/RRS clamps inside the chassis. Id guess a 3" chassis can accommodate this and the need for gamer plates starts to go away

Yeah, the Arca system isn’t really ideal for this kind of thing. You can make wings that come down on the side but then you’re limited to lever clamps because the knobs won’t fit. So then the market is limited.

It will crack on the rear action screw. Poor design.

LOL

Another PR chassis......................yawn.

Let me know when something becomes of this.

So when Spuhr who has a good following here and pretty much everywhere tease that they are releasing the "Spuhr Ideal Chassis System" on September the 6th, some people here dont acctually believe that there will be a chassis?

I know that half of you will sell what ever spare organs you have left to get one. Dont try to kid anyone about anything else!

odd release date - strategically after NRAAM, so can we assume theyre not planning on having a finalized function example until sometime after?

I’m conflicted. Does the chasiss make the gun choot better or is it the action, oh wait the barrel, no it’s the recoil lug, no it’s the scope, wait bullshit it’s the scope rings, no says Ammo man it’s the ammo, then monolithic booklets hit the scene.

meanwhile my $4 R770 shoots under an inch, literally puts food on the table.

but it’s America, land of the indebted, home of the woke. They will buy it.

😂🤣😂

Maybe he will build a better film camera you can all masturbate over.

Go be poor somewhere else

You just 3D printed a gamer plate. What he was talking about is more like the competition side rails that MPA sells. That way you widen the forearm but don't lose any arca real estate.
That's exactly right. I was talking about widening the actual forearm of the chassis, like the effect of the side rails:

But what you can see is that then you have problems with some Arca attachments. What would work better for a wide forearm would be something like the Anschutz rail system, but there's not the same level of support for that.

Thats the problem with an arca rail and a wide forend. You will have to increase the height of the arca rail to make clearance for arca accessories but then you lose the purpose of the wide forend for stability.
