Where are the Sig MCX/MPX at?

As the title states, does anybody have a clue when the sig mcx or mpx will be coming back in stock? I’m in the market for either but can’t find them but on gunbroker for $3k+.

Considering a barrel is going for close to $1k I doubt they will come down in price anytime soon.

4.5” MPX have popped up a few times in the last few weeks. No specific website each time and they go within minutes usually

I have had a MCX on backorder from Brownells for a year now. Sig claims they are producing them. Sig lies.

Wish I’d jumped on the Closeout sale at my local Gander Outdoors two years ago. They were eliminating inventory and had a ridiculous number of MCX Patrol’s listed for $1k. It was Black Friday and I’d already spent too much money, so I skipped it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I managed to piece together a Rattler Upper in 300Blk and 556. The MCX Virtus upper is harder. But the only thing(s) missing is/are the barrel(s).

If you are willing to use a regular AR15 lower instead of the Sig one, it becomes a parts game.

There is a mcx .300 blackout upper for sale currently. But I don’t if I can bring myself to pay $2250 for a upper when that is typically the entire rifles cost. Prices have gone insane on everything in this world and I guess I’m holding out in the hopes for them to drop again.

At those prices maybe consider a B&T?. I think I’ve seen new ones in stock lately for a couple hundred more.

I honestly don’t know why such demand exists for those guns. I had a MCX and was nowhere near impressed with it enough to pay current prices. I even felt what I paid was a little overpriced when they first came out.

The only thing my MCX could do that a DI AR15 couldn’t was cycle 300blk subs that were well under 1,000fps reliably.

The fact that the stock rail can’t even hold zero for a laser is a little ridiculous to me for the cost

Because they’re cool looking, the cool kids seem to use them, and they look cool in games.

I like my standard, reliable, accurate, non-flashy, boring ARs though.

Being able to fold the back stock pretty much flush at the back of the receiver is a pretty big advantage if you want to carry it small.

The MCX was one of the popular guns in the previous call of duty game and it’s going to have a whole fan base just because of that so don’t expect the demand to settle down too much moving forward.

I love the concept of it but have had a hard time loving it nearly as much in practice. If it wasn’t held in such high regard maybe things would be different but to me it just provides the basic functionalities in a different package. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that these new types of rifles will start trending towards the level of refinement and market saturation as the basic DI AR over the next decade. Maybe wishful thinking on my end but not unreasonable seeing how far things have come over the past decade

There is one feature that makes the MCX a great trunk gun. The MCX has a firing pin block that allows it to be transported loaded. Regardless of how much I practice, I fear that I will forget to charge the gun under stress since the bulk of my training is with the gun starting out loaded.

...maybe I dunno...incorporate THAT into training rather than going condition:dumbfuck (on a Sig no less) on a stored weapon to counter your planned ineptitude.
It's "train like you fight", not "fight like you train."

All my defense guns are loaded, and I train with them as loaded, so treating my trunk differently would be problematic. Unlike you, I can think ahead and fix situations before they arise.

But thanks for your stupid "ineptitude" comment, it says a lot about you.

At this point why keep it in the trunk? Might as well stay strapped in the passenger compartment. As surely accessing the trunk is wasted time…

Now back to the bear pit or arfcom GD where you belong so we can get back to real hide content…simultaneously ragging on and sucking the cock of competition circuit dejour

Why would they not be loaded ready to go? Is your concealed pistol also not loaded? If not, I recommend training and getting used to it being loaded.

ARs do not have a firing pin block so they are unsafe to transport loaded. Police call stowing AR with a loaded mag, unchambered in a police vehicle, "patrol ready" MCX rifles have a firing pin block.

Didn't your mama ever teach you to keep your mouth shut unless you have something useful to say? Apparently not.

My carry and duty pistol is chambered as they are in my immediate control.

Guns stored in cars are “squad ready”
A fp spring prevents slam fire (see 870) it does not do anything for seat failure

Not sure if Sig is making guns this quarter or if they have been busy assembling Chinese optics.
