I’m with you on having back and neck issues/surgeries but still wanting to participate. Adapt to your situation and move forward!
Matter of fact, at almost every past match (PRS, 3-gun, and USPSA) someone has asked me about my cart, taken pictures, and some even got measurements of it!

Half of the guys in here complaining about the strollers are probably rocking Polaris Razers or the like while making those grueling 50y treks from stage to stage…

Had my effort at PRS, certainly nothing to brag about. But this is what I used and continue to use it as a general range box. Pulls fine, carries everything but your rifle and makes a great seat as well. Even room to carry a small cooler. Won’t work for IHMSA, but for PRS a fine stop gap and a pretty good range box. Lowes carries them. Tough and cheap
I was watching the hammer and javelin matches in the Olympics and kept on seeing these field support vehicles buzzing around to bring the hammers and javelins back to the atheletes. Throw some offroad tires on them and they can haul my rifle for me.
PRS has certainly diverged a lot from its original intent...

Only issue I have with the strollers and wagons is how much room they take up. People don’t seem to understand how to not put their carts in the way or when there’s a storm they have to move their carts under whatever shelter and it takes up room for people who don’t have them. Other than that if you have so much equipment you can’t carry it, I don’t care that’s not my problem.

This doesn't apply to just the guys with the carts/strollers, but everyone with a ton of crap. Shot one match, and I had to navigate a maze of tripods just to get to the firing line.

If I take the cart, it gets used and a buddy shares it. Otherwise I can slim down my backpack enough to work fine. I like the cart though; makes it easier to spread stuff out (like ammo and brass, some water, etc.)
This was at Altus probably at Feb match. Free double stroller, very little stripped out, added Kolpin gun racks from Amazon. Two guns and 3 dudes’ gear loaded on. Totally overkill for the day also.

I carry all my gear but rifle and tripod in my badass Eberlestock rucksack. Why? Because I need to justify paying that much for an Eberlestock rucksack.
If Polaris made a micro version, I’d probably never buy one, but I’d dream of filling it with the dozen bags I never use and a massive cooler, and offering rides to all the dudes struggling to haul their massive RRS tripod/hammock things with a gun in the other hand. I’ll probably just buy a more massive tripod, maybe stupidly put wheels on it, and keep dreaming of luxury.
Any chance you would be willing to share some brand names of carts etc I might consider for a re-fit please? Mine would be toting a table with removable legs that would fit beautifully on that cart. Been looking at strollers online all I'm seeing is cheap China plastic so far, but especially not the bigger wheel/tire setup. Thanks....already had surgery on L4/L5 L5/S1.....trying to preserve this spine as much as possible from here to the finish line and that cart would be a big part of achieving that goal.

The very last thing I'd be worried about is what anyone else thought of me having a cart. I don't know why anyone cares if a guy has a cart or not other than the taking up room thing, but that's being rude not so much just having a cart.
I'm sure you can find a good stroller on the Facebook marketplace if your wife or someone is on Facebook. That seems to be the best place to find such as that but I don't do Facebook since 2016 so I have to get the wife to look if I want to find used stuff like that.
I just bought a used BOB Revolution ($550 retail) I found for sale on The Book of Faces for $40, great condition. Now I'm trying to figure out which ATV gun rack mounts to get for it to carry all my man child PRS toys.
I put rack mounts on mine ('90s-vintage jogging stroller) and found they don't work well for our heavy PRS rifles. They're great for PCCs and such but PRS rifles make my rig too top-heavy - especially on bumpy or uneven terrain. I just plop my cased rifle atop my smallish range bag and GameChanger for long hikes, or just carry the rifle in one hand and push the stroller with the other for short walks.
My point is, ATV rack mounts may not be as useful as you think for 15-18+ pound rifles.

not up to speed on brand names . Strollers Suck . You need to be on the lookout for the baby 'joggers' with bigger wheels .
also I have seem them.. The Cadillac would be the model for jogging with 'twins' seated sideXside .
I went all Ghetto and went to the different Salvation Army and Goodwill stores to score the Jogger I have . It also took me more than one day of looking.

At my age the cart is a GOD send, especially at matches or if I am at a range and want to move from one type of barricade to another for practice. its commercial and a birthday present, but I love It.
I’ll have to look through my photo archives among different devices, but have been using various carts for years. It started with CAS (Cowboy Action Shooting) an has progressed through 3 Gun, Sporting Clays and hopefully NRL/NRL-R. When you are trying to manage 3-4 guns per shooter plus ammo and gear it really makes a difference. Add to that the infirmities brought on by an active life any bit helps too.
I'm in good shape so I just use a backpack or duffel... but I saw some guys rocking these w/ some mods & they looked super handy for gear junkies that don't know how to leave stuff behind

Half way through the match yesterday, my son’s pack was completely empty and he dropped it at the vehicle as we walked past it. At the end of the match, all that was in mine was ~100 rounds of ammo.
Is that something he built or a ready made cart?Dude had one of these at USPSA match I was at.
Now I want one.
I use a converted stroller for USPSA because there’s pretty steep hills up to the bays. If you don’t get on the right squad you’re going up more than once. Cooler, ammo, etc
And I’m old.
PRS matches I make multiple trips to move my bag tripod and rifle to the next station. Rifle is too heavy/ awkward balance for my stroller ( 3 wheeler)

Pretty close to what I've ran for local USPSA matches- I've yet to see anyone break out their cleaning kit to clean out the barrel between stages. I essentially only bring with me a pistol, magazines, Maglua, and ammunition which all comfortably fits into a Vanquest Gear Mobiius sling bag with enough room for ear/eye protection. To be fair, I wouldn't consider myself as a serious competitor though but this minimalist approach has served me well while I was playing around in USPSA and aside from that I only once ran into an issue with a squib and another shooter had a rod to bang the bullet out without any issue. Oh I also added a multitool after having a grip screw work loose on my 1911 during one match. I don't use any fancy grip screws that'd require anything more than a flat screwdriver or thin coin so I was able to get the gun back into action rather quickly. I occasionally will bring a backup pistol of a similar build to the primary with me but I haven't had to use it yet and that's in a separate case from what I'm hauling around during an USPSA match.

To each their own. The one 1911 issue I ran across over the years was admittedly during an IDPA match rather than a USPSA one. But I added the multitool remark to remain transparent. I personally think the 1911 is a fantastic pistol by its own merits but when it comes to USPSA I really do make an effort to class things up amongst the other 2011 shooters by sticking with a stock G35.4 with a fiber optic front sight. As I’ve recently shared, I’m not a serious competitor and am perfectly ok staying mid-pack as I mainly participate for fun/to be social.

Me too on most accounts. I watched a kid really struggle with his 1911 clone yesterday. Admittedly, it was a 22lr clone, and I don’t know the manufacturer. But, he barely made it through a string without a malfunction of some kind. Idk what ammo he was using, and that was playing a part (failure to fire), but he was having failure to feed and failure to eject problems as well.
The 1911 and 22lr might be the perfect storm of unreliability.
I have 2 1911s and they are both as reliable as I expect a pistol to be, but it was kind of heart-wrenching to watch that kid run through 4 different malf clearance drills every stage.
Agree with you, sounds like the 'perfect storm' of potential issues converging (I've almost exclusively been shooting rimfire for the past few years). At the end of the day- I think most of issues, across all manufacturers/models can be attributed in some point to owner issues either due to maintenance or manipulation.
1911's for whatever reason seem to make folks bipolar on whether they love them or hate 'em but in your example, I think there's a number of issues the kid was working against. Just to try to reciprocate you sharing your experience- the worst thing I've witnessed in a match off of the top of my head was a lady shooting a Beretta PX4 Storm and I honestly believed I'd see her injure herself before the day was done. Nothing wrong with Beretta or the PX4 for that matter, sounds like her husband picked it out for her, she went to the match (probably was IDPA) and almost shot herself throughout the course of the day.
Glad to hear that your 1911's are running well for you, I'm not diehard either way but really do appreciate shooting my own as I've yet to find another pistol offering the same type of trigger. I did run across a slicked up Smith revolver that was super nice and close but prone to light strikes from what I remember.
