Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue, commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, XVIII Airborne Corps, based in Fort Bragg, N.C., was the final soldier to leave Afghanistan
Last Man.jpg

I have no words left!

This was a screwed up way to retreat from a war zone. I'm hearing there at least 300 Americans that are stuck behind enemy lines tonight and almost 50 service dogs.

Nothing to be celebrated to be sure.
Service dogs left behind myth has been killed by people over there posting on military Facebook pages. They are saying any dogs left behind were from contractors the military had no oversight on... Seen this posted a few times with pics and numbers....

Contractors or not, dogs should have been taken out too. There was no reason this went down like this for our people, our allies and possibly our dogs. This administration and the command structure that serves it has no respect for the oath or the people they are supposed to serve. The progressives have been working for years to undermine the military and it’s espri de Corp and I think this shit right here might be the turning point.

Johnson said he has heard reports indicating “a group of over 400 individuals including U.S. citizens were turned away from the airport” by “the commander of the 82nd Airborne Brigade … who told them to get back on their buses and turn around because ‘the rescue was over.’”

We've heard about this for the last few days. What about the bus with children that was turned away. Anyone with 2 brain cells knows this was screwed up the minute they announced the surrender withdraw.

So this is the asshole responsible for our people and dogs being left behind?
This is not the guy responsible, the responsible ones are Blinken from the State Department and higher up aka President and the joint chiefs along with a couple others like secdef. MG Donahue is not in charge of the withdrawal, he is in charge of the response force that was sent at the last minute after this shitshow started.

I would have defied orders and let them in, period. I also would not leave all the dogs, period. If something went wrong down the road I'd take responsibility, but you couldn't tell me not to let American passport holders through that gate, or to leave dogs whether they are soldiers or contractors.
I've heard it several places that the Marines turning people away would rather be in the worst combat conceivable than do the job they were given. They are going to have terrible scars from this forever while all the people who did it will give themselves medals.

Very true!! No amount of mental health care will get you over that betrayal of your fellow citizens. We will see reverberations from this for decades imo.

So riddle me this Batman.....if we have all Americans and Afghan friendlies out, why are we not bombing/destoying the shit out of Bagram and any other base, known weapons staging areas, etc.?? What? are we afraid of offending the Taliban because they are our new BFF? I'm also seeing on Fox that our shitbirds in DC may release billions of dollars in Afghan assets to them because they are the now de facto government and thats in addition to the pallets of Benjamins that we already left behind.
Something about this whole debacle stinks to high heaven.

We don't have all Americans and Afghans out!! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...ho-we-wanted-to-get-out/ar-AANUGqb?ocid=ientp

Someone should write a book about how the State Departments political appointed dumbass along with a president screwed up the withdrawal of Americans, American partners, equipment and money!

They left behind Americans!

I'm sorry, but I don't consider this a withdraw. This was a surrender.

Yeah, I know. I was just being a little facetious.
Sorry, didn't catch the "facetious" 😁 .

Having done more than a few ramp ceremonies and NOT checking my watch, this is very frustrating to see how we fled Afghanistan.

That's not what anyone who lives in the real world will tell you, to include 98% of elected Republicans. If you believe otherwise you've done one too many packets with Mike Lindell.

LOL!!! You are a fucking moron who is brainwashed to keep repeating, "there is no evidence of fraud", which is a complete lie. There isn't "proof" of fraud YET, but that's because of fucking morons like you who believe everything they're told without question and are totally uninterested in how Biden got elected in the most improbable election in US history. If you can be fooled by some fourth grade, lawyer, word games. You should elect not to post and prove how uninformed, brainwashed you are.

As @mcameron points out there is VIDEO of the democrats cheating and running the counting machines in the middle of the night with no oversight!!! VIDEO! Caught red handed cheating, and dumb motherfuckers like you still pretend there is nothing wrong...

Go be a moron somewhere else. You have the whole rest of the internet. We just have here.

Bless you for all you've done. I still wonder why we left all the gear and bases behind intact. As I said something stinks. It's got to be more than just incompetence.

Keep in mind who it is that you guys are trying to reason with. Once someone has made up their minds, evidence does little good.

Quote:

"Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease. Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed – in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical – and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental. In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous."

If he was the last “soilder” out then he was absolutely responsible especially considering his rank and pulling power.

I don’t care what the puppets in Washington called for this is the guy that made the decision to execute them.

I will also say this Biden a piece of shit no doubt, but he’s just the puppet that signed off on somebody else’s devious plan.

I agree.
I bet China had some play in this. The question is how this will play out for China. There are some tension with China's anti-Muslim stance and their Uighur silent genocide push. But, I suspect they have a deal with the Taliban for lithium which Afghanistan has a lot of.

Either way, providing support to an enemy of the country is treason by definition. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2381

You are right, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt until I read some more recent accounts. I am not at all happy about any of this, it just sucks! To put it nicely.

I was once praised for violating orders and more than once chastised for violating orders. Sometimes you win and most times you don't.

General Milley said "In the absence of supervision, the willingness to disobey specific orders to achieve the intended purpose, the willingness to take risk to meet the intent, the acceptance of failure in order to learn from experimentation, these are all going to have to be elevated in the pantheon of leader traits."

I would just like to say this I am so proud of all of the people who have served in the military. The average American citizen owes you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. I thank you for the sacrifices y’all have made. As an American citizen who never served in combat. I always supported our troops even though I didn’t really agree with the reason we were over there! God bless you and your family’s. Hopefully history will show us that y’all’s sacrifices have not been in vain.

The whole way this went down was fucking disgraceful. Shows you what they think about everyone outside the golden circle.
But wait, now we can tool up to do it all over again and enrich the mongers some more.
Can't believe any sane thinking person believes the election was true.
Fuck me, what a dishonoring bunch of elitist bastards holding the reigns on us right now....😡

Feb. 16, 1989... General Gromov leaves Afghanistan.

And this is the attempt of the British to withdraw in 1849... 16,000 brits left Kabul in Feb.

1630439611025.png

Out of the 16,000+ about 4 Britons and a handful of sepoys made it back to India via the Khyber Pass and other routes. The painting shows the last stand of the 44th Foot which was destroyed to a man with the rest of Elphinstone's army.

The only solution for Afghanistan is to put a wall around it. Allow weapons and ammo in. Nothing out.

But China will happily loot them for lithium... give the terrorists money for their Jihad. And as they protected Bin Laden, the Taliban will protect the Chinese mines. Count on it.

Meh... as long as the soldiers know they won all the engagements... while the politicians, lawyers, media and anti-American Commie civilians lost the war... they will hopefully come to terms with the great job they did while being totally hamstrung by a political and military leadership that didn't deserve them or their sacrifice.

I'm just too angry for words right now. So I'll leave it at that.

Sirhr

PS As for Maj. Gen. Donohue... If he has any honor he will speak out. Or put a pistol in his mouth. But my guess is that he is headed for a third star and will be given the job of heading Gender Transitions in the Airborne and will be made Chairman of the JCS for his expertise in Don't Ask Don't Tell. He isn't a Major General these days without litmus tests since he was a captain in 2008... or would I be wrong?

I tried consoling one of my guys who is also frustrated. I told him that it is about the small victories, we showed Afghani's what they could have. We planted the seed. Drinking from that pool is their own choice. We'll see what happens, but that was a lot of "blood and treasure" lost and we loose more daily with veteran suicides which I suspect will now spike since a lot of these young soldiers feel betrayed and that it was all for naught.

I'm being told those are rescue dogs from some good Samaritan outfit, not service dogs.

I thought it was a good samaritan outfit trying to fly them out but they are short of cash to do it. Plus there's some weird rules about bringing dogs back from that part of the world (IE Rabies).

OK reading part of it they had "rescue" dogs and they also had 46 "working dogs" that belonged to mil/contractors etc and most of the dogs were brought to the airport to be flown away in a plane that they had paid for but instead the animals were "released" into the airport and the plane wasn't allowed to land. So now the people who are still there have to depend on the good graces of the Taliban to get themselves and the animals out of the country.

The amount of evidence is overwhelming.
for me the simplest example was the states that the left HAD to win were the very same states with all the” issues”. Putting paper up on the windiws, not allowing verification, going home to get a good nights sleep to continue to start counting again, all the signed affidavits which any other time would be enough for the storm troopers to flash bang your house at 2 am. finally the puppet that the people “overwhelmingly” elected, Joe Biden who I don’t think even won his own primary, but the left knew anybody else would get thrashed as bad as Joe at the polls, did but Joe did have the old democrats where none of the other candidates had.

Donahue himself has posted on the 82nd site that no service dogs were left behind. If he's lying......God help him.

Vietnam redux.
And the same people who protested and betrayed our men in Vietnam... are behind this. Now they aren't little hippies with bullhorns. Now they are Senators and cabinet members and Network Executives and Professors and policy wonks... and billionaires who think that the shining path of Woodstock socialism is going to make the world a utopia.

There is no cure for Communism.

From what I can tell he is not lying. The left behind dogs were from other countries contractors.
