Somewhere between 200-1000 Americans are still over there too.
State Dept warned them in March to get out and then the dumbest mother fucker pedophile on earth tells everyone Tolly Ban can't take over the country. So Biden fucked everyone by telling them they had nothing to worry about.

I got to ask is Biden doing this on purpose to fuck America , what else could it possible be ? In my book when your stupidity kills 13 Marines you crawl in some hole and tell them to throw the dirt back in.

I have a feeling 99% of them are defense dept contractors of some sort too. That will be something to think about going forward if you want to take a contract driving trucks or fixing pipes or whatever for the government overseas...you might need to thumb it home.

Yes there is.
Just ask Ganowicz.

And the same people who protested and betrayed our men in Vietnam... are behind this. Now they aren't little hippies with bullhorns. Now they are Senators and cabinet members and Network Executives and Professors and policy wonks... and billionaires who think that the shining path of Woodstock socialism is going to make the world a utopia.

There is no cure for Communism.

It went tits up because the politicians that tied the hands of the military. When I say politicians I also include the generals with political aspirations that just appease the limp dick politicians in suits and the pansy state department weirdos that know better than anyone else :cautious:

If you let the boys loose with a clear task and purpose they will wreck the enemy, but instead the politicians allowed the enemy to have safe havens where they could re-arm, refit, plan and re-engage from like Pakistan, Iran, etc. The enemy took vacations from fighting in the winter in those places. You can't win against that, you have to seek out the enemy and destroy them anywhere and everywhere they are. Hearts and minds doesn't win against fanatics. Just my .02

Does any of this sound vaguely familiar?

President Biden declared to a puzzled country on Tuesday that the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan was an "extraordinary success," while his Pentagon portrayed a prosaic, workaday process to repatriate Americans still stranded in the war-torn country.

But text messages between U.S. military commanders and private citizens mounting last-minute rescues tell a far different story, one in which pleading American citizens were frantically left behind at the Kabul airport gate this past weekend to face an uncertain fate under Taliban rule while U.S. officials sought to spread the blame between high-ranking generals and the State Department

"We are f*cking abandoning American citizens," an Army colonel assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division wrote Sunday in frustration in a series of encrypted messages that detailed the failed effort to extricate a group of American citizens, hours before the last U.S. soldiers departed Afghanistan.

I demand my country and military rescue Americans over arming terrorists and bringing them to America. It’s the only American thing we could have done.

It’s obvious America is no longer .. america

That's not what anyone who lives in the real world will tell you, to include 98% of elected Republicans. If you believe otherwise you've done one too many packets with Mike Lindell.
98% of elected Republicans are traitors and have gotten to where they are by wiping their ass with the constitution, which I'm pretty sure gives you a tingling sensation .

Why such hatred for Mike Liddell. Is it the fact that you could never be even a fraction of the man he is .You can wallow around in your jealousy all u want and you can Persicute him all you want , but in the end YOU are the one left holding the Turd, not him !
Enjoy your Turd !

What's with all the disbelief? We've been doing the same thing for the last 100 years; fuck a place up then leave allies and Americans behind. Not good ... but not surprising in the least. This is PRECISELY what the United States does.

At a cost of trillions more dollars and more importantly countless American lives.

It wasn't pretty but its done and that's what most Americans wanted under both Trump & Biden.
How would it cost trillions more dollars if we shortened the timeline? Had we truly been released to do what we do I would say that we could have had that mission done in 10 years vs the 20. That is not nation building, this is just hunting the enemy and shwacking them wherever they are. But, it takes leaders with stones to execute that and we have no leaders and no one in leadership positions that have any stones.

Fighting and chasing the enemy versus allowing them a safe haven to re-arm, plan and re-engage US forces was worse and achieved nothing but creating a better, smarter enemy as they shared their TTP's against our systems. Talib, Iran just were given 20 years to test and learn from us, and get armed by us.

The Iraq Surge was a decade and a half ago... trillions later...

And?? Has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote or this conversation! This is about Afghanistan and the Taliban. If you would like this to expand also to the Iraq theater than we could also apply the same position of what I said, shorten the timeline and just ferociously hunt and kill the enemy where ever they are and NOT provide them a safe haven to re-arm and re-fit and you would also see that it would not require as long of a presence as we had.

yeah.....but under trump....we wouldve evacuated the civilians first, under the protection of the military.....then gotten the military out.

under biden, we did the exact opposite.....leaving 13 marines dead, and countless civilians.

Worth a read

So, I might need to break this down a little while explaining some of the problem.

We occupied Afghanistan for 20 years. We used Forward Operating Bases (FOB), Combat Outposts (COP). We limited ourselves to The boundaries specific to Afghanistan with an overly restrictive Rules Of Engagement (ROE). To many, the understanding of the ROE (as influenced by the COIN flavor of the day) and its requirements caused hesitation on commanders behalf and aided the enemy in acting and withdrawing prior to US/Coalition being able to bring down lethal fires (direct and/or indirect). Relaxing of the ROE and providing the ability to pursue the enemy (pursuit – A type of offensive operation designed to catch or cut off a hostile force attempting to escape, with the aim of destroying it.) enables Soldiers to doctrinally execute their tasks that we are responsible for such as Find, Fix and Finish and Gain and Maintain Contact. We were severely hamstrung by politics which prevented Soldiers from shooting first! We (not all but enough) instead became reactionary and highly risk adverse (the risk of loosing your job or going to jail for killing the enemy). Being this risk adverse led to inaction in many cases and also facilitated in Soldiers deaths IMO and the enemy escaping. Removing a lot of the restrictions and simplifying the ROE while taking other methods/steps to enable the Soldiers to close with and destroy enemy combatants in not only Afghanistan but neighboring and enemy supporting countries would have allowed us to rapidly pursue and destroy the enemy versus waiting for the enemy to make a mistake so we could respond from the confines of our restricted environment would have enabled the military to much more rapidly kill the enemy and leave the area. Instead we built military cities in Afghanistan.

I probably didn't make this very clear so to simplify it.
I know the bad guy lives at 3333 Park Rd, I go to 3333 Park Rd. As a result bad guy leaves and goes next door and shoots at me from next door. I can't shoot back at him because he is not at 3333 Park Rd and I am now stuck at 3333 Park Rd getting shot at. That was Afghanistan in a nutshell. Again just my .02 in an over simplified way of trying to explain some of the problem.

It does dumbass. People who think like you are why we were over there wasting our time and money in that shit hole for 20 years thinking everything can be solved your way. You'd have us there 100 more years saying with a little more man power and a little more time we can wack the last head off this 100 headed hydra.
Dumbass :ROFLMAO: tell me where your military experience comes from?? CBS or NBC??

Did I say stay in Afghanistan?? I guess reading is not a strongpoint of yours? But, you know so much from your experience at war. Maybe you were there with Brian Williams?

Your reading comprehension is shit I was clearly pointing my finger at Biden as the holder of the blame.

I was in the Army for 6 years as a Patriot MIssile crewmember and then with the National Guard for another 4 as a Sentinel Radar operator, but that isn't here nor there.

I'm going on the very real and true observations of former President Donald Trump. He clearly highlight what a waste of time Afghanistan was, and would continue to be if we remained there.
My point is to NOT remain there! To kill the enemy and leave, follow to where they are, finish them quickly and violently and again leave. In some cases we would not require boots or would be restricted from having boots on the ground depending on systems used. My point is to not hold, secure ground but to destroy the enemy. I am enemy focused, not terrain focused. Instead we wanted to stay and for lack of a better way to say it, spar with the Taliban when they came off vacation from the neighbors house..

Meanwhile some rants from Kabul echo chamber

-Taliban announced that Khaybatullah Akhundzada will become prime minister of the country. The full composition of the "inclusive government of Afghanistan" will be announced on September 3.

-In response to Journalists criticism "Why, if you are talking about amnesty, do so many people want to flee the country?" Taliban spokesman replied "Park some military transport planes in Delhi and tell them that you will be taking people from India to the USA - hundreds of thousands of Indians will want to fly away in a matter of hours."

-For those who were worried about the service dogs abandoned at the Airport The Taliban said they were forced seize the dogs, but not in order to torture and kill them, but in order to put them in the service of the Islamic Emirate and train them accordingly. :ROFLMAO:

-At the Kabul airport, in agreement with the Taliban, Qatari security has already begun work,The Taliban are reportedly in talks with Turkey and Qatar to restore full operation of the Kabul airport.

-Regarding the Panjshir , the Taliban once again stated that they do not want war and it is better to settle the matter peacefully, they say they have already fought. But since Saleh and Masud persist in putting forward unrealistic demands for the Taliban (for example, to include Saleh in the government), the option of attacking Panshjer and cleaning it up becomes more and more likely. The Taliban have already pulled together substantial forces towards the Panjshir, but so far they are hesitating, hoping that the local tribal leaders will come to their senses.

- Pakistani general Gul openly stated that "when history is written and all events take place, everyone will understand that it was Pakistani intelligence that defeated the United States with the hands of the Taliban.

Taliban have better spokespeople than we do.
