  • Hi,

So there are a few things going on that need to be in a more dedicated thread (They will be in the other Hoplite Arms thread too) due to their importance and relevance pertaining to Hoplite Arms business side of things.

The other thread is more of a free for all type posts and updates. This one will be mission critical :)

    UPDATE 1: DOWNPAYMENT PROGRAM

We are in the final stages of testing the Aspis weapon system and will begin taking down payments toward the end of next week; with an anticipated lead time being 8 weeks (Dependent on barrel specifications as I have mentioned a few different times) for the Lapua Magnum boltface cartridges.

In the 8 weeks anticipated lead times for the Aspis model rifles we are hoping to be testing the Kopis conversion kits that will allow users to go from Lapua Magnum cartridges to regular magnum cartridges (300PRC, 300WM, etc) to short action cartridges (308, 6.5CM, etc).

NOW here is the important part of our down payment program!!
Apsis Weapon System (Base model): $6900
    Down Payment: $3500
Balance Due: 30 Days AFTER DELIVERY!!!

YES you read that correctly!! Hoplite Arms will be offering Net 30 Payment terms. Pretty sure that might be an industry first; if not it has to be pretty close to it.

    UPDATE 2: LAYAWAY PROGRAM
We will be offering an interest free 1 year layaway program in which you pay a deposit of $1000 and you make monthly payments; interest free until paid off. Until you pay it off we will send you monthly pictures of your rifle posing for you, lol.

UPDATE 3: LEFT HANDED RIFLE PROGRAM
Ok, so after a brief inquiry this morning from a potential customer in regards to his desire for a Hoplite Arms rifle it was brought to attention that he is left handed.

So to put our money where our mouth is in regards to we absolutely want our customers journey to be as awesome as the rifle, we made an offer to him and we (Hoplite Arms) had already decided that depending on his reply to our offer we would make it public process or not.

    So here was the offer:
"After looking at the procurement schedule and availability of specialized materials we utilize along with R&D production schedule we would like you shooting sooner rather than later.
Shooting is a hobby and passion and not one that we should wait around for; at least that is our opinion.
So after real quick internal conversation we may have a possible solution to your "wrong handedness" lol.
May we suggest purchasing the Aspis in its' RH configuration initially and when the LH action has been tested and passed our satisfaction you can send your rifle back in for us to give it a complete quality check was well as rebuild it with a new LH action for an extremely fair prorated price.
By extreme we mean shipping, processing and paint. The LH action at that point would be virtually no cost to you."

So with his acceptance of that offer we are implementing it as its' own program.
Pretty sure that might be an industry first too, lol!!!

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Great model to stimulate cash flow early on and get these suckers to whip out the credit cards quicker!! Lol
    I want a Kopis! :p

Awesome purchase plan. A lot of shooters who didn’t think they could afford one now know they can. Good job.

So you're saying you might possibly have a lightly used (only driven on Sundays by a left handed old lady) riffle for sale in the near future?

Will it depreciate like an $85k truck or more like a Toyota FJ?
Just trying to plan out my next purchase. 😉

    Hi,

Sorry but they will be put into the Agency procurement grant program(s) and our rental program where you can rent rifle for a course, match and/or hunting trip.

Any idea yet on the conversion kit costs?

    Hi,

We are still working on that side of things. We have to finish testing to make sure exactly what costs we can reduce with magazine production cost since we are testing with 3D metal printed rapid prototypes that are too expensive for consumer release.

    Sincerely,

    Y’all take AI’s on trade in? 😹

    Hi,

That is pretty funny but I would probably do it just 1 time just to know someone did it.

The reality of the industry is AI makes a great product and the market space is large enough for us manufacturers to stop the "Me vs Them" shit and become better at working together as industry partners and friends.
That is the only way the consumers ultimately win and is only way our rights to produce and sell our products continue.

Stop the intra-industry fighting and start industry building and cooperation's.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Because even though the majority will be good to go... You know there are always those few scattered among the group

    Hi,

Without a doubt someone will be "That guy" but we will have contingency plan in place for such boldness.

more than enough personal info to be found and owed money retrieved I would think.

a new rifle from a mfg isnt like buying one from a friend at a local range

Add to it bank account/checking or credit card numbers from previous payments.

The Aspis has morphed into a multi-caliber switch barrel system where you just change bolts, mags and barrel to go from LM sized cartridges down to short action cartridges.

The standalone Kopis has changed to Kopis conversion kit that drops into the Aspis.
I'm not in your industry at all (actually, being retired I'm not in any industry) but this strikes me as an absolutely great idea. Good for sales/marketing and good for the owners.

    Outstanding

    Hi,

    Absolutely!!
It is damn near an act of Congress to get a bank to stop a scheduled autopayment as long as they have a copy of the signed contract between the account holder and a vendor.
Same thing with a CC company.

This industry and community is relatively small so if you want to depart the community in that manner for $2900....Good Luck.

    Hi,

I have no idea what they intend to do in regards to how/what they sell.
I just know my agreement is Hoplite Arms can purchase it at any time.
That being said; I am not in the ammunition dealership business so we will not sell to the general public.
We will sell to Hoplite Arms rifle customers.

    Sincerely,

Any rough idea what you'd need to sell the ammunition for, or have they not yet given you a price for a larger supply?

I was kind of wondering if it would be cheaper to buy factory ammunition, shoot it, then reload or wait until somebody makes brass for it.

    Hi,

So a couple more important announcements.

    First Item on Agenda...

    Second item on agenda..

For the most part things are getting back to normal post Hurricane shit...
The electricity lines at the shop have had power restored but we are on a waiting list for 2 new transformers since 2 of the 3 that feed the building are bad. Sadly the cities and more populated neighborhoods take transformer priority so we are still living out of hotel room in Mississippi but close enough to drive to the shop with full charge laptop and spare battery so we can function administratively as best as possible and be on site for deliveries since a few of you shipped/mailed stuff right before hurricane. All shipping/mail carriers are functional at this time.

Dude...... if the Expo has a "ghetto hood" in the vendor layout, you just got stuck there.
You might want to petition them starting now to see if they can re-assign you!

    Please do!
Otherwise, I will be the nerd wearing ear plugs, gel cup muffs and a F'ing space helmet all at once when your superior race super magnums start torching off rounds.

Checking with my lawyer to see if you would be liable for my TBI. :)
