HI guys (and gals) - I have 350 (actually more like 365 but whose counting haha) Hornady .308 once-fired and decapped cases (but no further case prep) that I would like to see put to good use. I do not reload .308 and do not plan to do so in the future.

They are a mixed lot and came mostly from ELD-M/X ammo fired over the last two years.

While I know I can probably get maybe around $100 for them, at this point in my life I would find it immensely more rewarding to see this brass used in support of any sort of youth/young adult shooting activities. 4H, Boy Scouts, FFA, NSSF, high school or collegiate team, or just your local club youth initiatives, etc.

So, they are free for that purpose except for $20 for USPS Priority flat rate shipping (and shipping cost is an issue, please explain in your PM and maybe we can work something out).

I know that this takes a bit of a leap of faith on my part as you may very well lie about its intended purpose....I have no way to confirm what you present.....but I do count on karma which is an utter fucking bitch. And I have found that being honest in my dealings with others results in my sleeping well at night and that is of great value to me and I'm going to presume it is to you also.

If you are involved in a youth shooting activity for which this can be helpful, please reply below with "I'll take it" and then PM me with your contact info and....a bit of a description of what youth activity they will be used for. I don't need any in depth description...I'm not trying to get into anyone's business on this....but just tell me what youth/young adult shooting you plan to use them for.

First "I'll take it" with an appropriate PM will get them.

I'm out fishing all day tomorrow (Tues) so don't be alarmed if I don't reply instantly.

I hope this sounds like a good idea and that there is someone out there working with young people who could use this brass.

I'll bump this up a few times and if no takers, I will consider offering to any member. But I would love to see this brass used for some sort of support youth shooting/hunting.

An aside, went fishing on the Chesapeake Bay yesterday. Rockfish (yeah, in MD we call strippers "rockfish"...dunno why except maybe they like to hang around underwater rocks???). Rockfish was reported to be spotty so we motored south a bit and spent all day trolling for Cobia. It was next to last day of Cobia season, hot and humid out (so trolling was actually nice compared to sitting there live lining spot for rockfish) and nobody was catching anything....and about 20-30 minutes before heading back to the barn.....we got one. Wonderful fish to catch and to eat.

I would be more than happy to buy these from you and pass them along to our 200 yard youth egg shooter's at our club. Its fun watching the JR.'s shoot. It brings you back to when it was new and pure.

If you don't find anyone else that has a little guy or gal in need let me know😉.

    Thank you very much, sir.

in fact, although not an organized youth shooting type thing, I have committed to two fathers with young children who contacted me and are teaching their kids to shoot and reload.

Many/most of us know how expensive raising a family is much less paying for their shooting so I’m very happy to help them.

The Hornady will go to the first fella who contacted me and I have a lot of FGGM .308 brass for another father.

If I collect some more ( and will), I’ll get back in touch.

And yes, the kids can most certainly remind us of the pure joy we had when we first started shooting ourselves.

    Cheers

I would like to close this thread now as the brass has been committed.
