I never had a problem with my leupy mk4 8.5-25 when I was just shooting on my belly, but once I started PRS I found the eyebox was too picky and I would prefer a thicker reticle.

So my goal is to sell the scope and use the funds to buy something else. The down side is this once $1800 scope is most likely worth a lot less now for a used street price. Does anyone have any suggestions for a going rate for them? I tried to search for previous for sale threads, but had no luck.

My second question is, what should I get?

My criteria would be:
1- Cost around or slightly above what I get for the leupold
2- easy to acquire eyebox
3- durable
4- light (around 25ozs or so, not interested in a 40oz PST gen 2).

Since we are going into the winter, I may hold out until I can find an older USO, considered the bushnell DMR, as they seem to be available used for under 1k, or maybe an athlon ares but I am not sure how durable they are.

You left out some details. Is it the the m1, m3,or m5 turrets? Is it a mil reticle with MOA dials? SFP or FFP.

Midway is selling new ones, so that will at least put you in the ball park but without knowing the details….. I would say around $500.

Yeah, midway killed the market for the used MK4s, which sucks balls.

I don't know what configuration they are selling, mine is the FFP with .1 mil M5 knobs and TMR reticle, non-illuminated.

Bad news: your once expensive scoped isn’t worth that much.
good news: we live in the era of quality affordable scopes. Wouldn’t be too hard to find an affordable Japanese made Bushnell HDMR2 or LRTS(i) or XTR II. They also are in the 25-30oz range.

I’d definitely get a used LOW made in Japan before an Athlon Ares/Midas/Vortex PST/Arken/Bushnell match or any of those chinesium

Depending on your flexibility on price, the Vortex Razor 4.5-22 should be pretty close. Not sure you'll miss the 3x on top but the 3.5x on the bottom will sure be nice
