    Sniper’s Hide Training: “The Fundamentals”

Sniper’s Hide will again be attending the Precision Rifle Expo in Blakely GA.

Sniper’s Hide will be bringing the Fundamentals back to the Expo to help focus on the foundation as opposed to going straight for the Tips & Tricks.

Starting out with a Fundamental Eval, our 20 point checklist for students. We’ll have two attendees demonstrate what they bring to the table fundamental-wise. We will then expand to a Fundamental of Marksmanship discussion breaking down the key points which will lead us into the Shot Process.

The Shot Process is a series of steps that will help the shooter focus on the elements that matter and avoid the high-level mistakes associated with overthinking the process. The Shot Process has been created to open up a shooter’s possibilities versus being held to a series of rules that will eventual get broken.

Combining the Shot Process and Fundamentals of Marksman the shooter will have a solid foundation to use regardless of the context. The Fundamentals are the building blocks to all great shooting.

We will end with a demonstration of Weaponized Math. Weaponized Math dopes gravity from shot to shot. No longer do you need individualized inputs to dope your rifle to 1000 yards. Weaponized math gives the shooter both a starting point and a final answer that is easy to understand. Using weaponized math first we can then align our ballistic solvers to pre-Trued data cutting out the trial and error aspect as well as avoiding the list of confusing inputs. Weaponized Math dopes gravity.

Still got my Fundamental Evaluation from the last Expo, I was one of the 2

Anybody on the fence about going, it's a fantastic experience, I've been each year and gotten a lot out of it, and gotten to see some really cool things.

Haven’t missed a year and can’t wait to get back.

I took Frank’s class the first year and enjoyed it. Well worth the trip.

Great stuff!! Were do I sign up? Two years ago at this event I took Jacobs class on fundamentals and didn't even know then who he is. Still carrying his sheet of notes with me, the one he gave us students.

Got my tickets. Taking my old man with me too. I'm really looking forward to this. Where is the best place to stay?

Unless something has changed very recently, your only options are the sole hotel in Blakely itself or one of the hotels in Dothan, AL (30-40 minutes and a time zone change away). There's cabins at Arena, but I am sure they are completely booked out by vendors.

Check out white oak pastures. About 5 mins from Arena, but way nicer cabins. I’m staying there this weekend for the big precision gas gun match.

Should have booked it sooner. Taking my dad with me means I have to have 2 separate sleeping spaces. He snores like a freight train and I can't sleep in the same room as him. The only cabin they have that has 2 separate sleeping spaces is booked unfortunately. That ace is perfect too.....

Well.... I had emailed them, and after realizing the situation with them not have a unit with separate bedroom, I wrote the lady back and gave a brief description of the issue and said "thanks but it's not going to work out for this year, but I will remember you guys for next year, ect".....

She them wrote me back and said that they had a new unit that wasn't in their system yet, nor was it ready but that it would be by expo time!!! So I talked to her little more and BOOM! We are good to go and have our cabin booked at White Oak Pastures after all... pretty sweet set up too!

Thanks again for telling me about this place, it's so much better than a hotel and actually will save us $100 vs getting 2 rooms.

That’s super rad. Glad it’s working out

Just signed up. No mention on the Expo webpage about food. Are there food vendors there or do I have to get Mrs Deputy Dan to make me some sammiches?

This sounds cool, AND, in GA!
I am uncertain if I can make this, sigh…

Yes, I am trying to get back into “the game” after a long hiatus.

We should respect the thread subject matter, and take our further conversations in PMs.

    Thanks.

Make sure you do all 3 links for the releases. I thought it was the same thing but it's not, it's 3 separate docs. Yall probably did it correctly from the get go but I'm a little slow so....

You got it. We are eating now in the restaurant on site. It's a 3000 acre farm. The food is amazing! Here's the restaurant, Absolutely premium beef. (That's their main thing here)

And here's the cabin that we are staying in. I will post more pics of inside when we get back.

Here's the inside. There's another bedroom and bath upstairs and a loft and of course the porch is 2 levels. Cool place.

I know where I'm staying next year
Much better than the Country Inn & Suites in Dothan, AL.
But, I left home about 2:00 and was in the room by 5:45 including a stop at Buckee's in Robertsdale, AL.

Chris did me a real solid here for sure! Not only is it bad ass, but the cost is a little less than 2 hotel rooms.... $540.00 for Friday and Saturday night. That's $135 each per night. They have several other cabins but this is the only one with 2 bedrooms separate, which I had to have because my dad snores like a freight train.

    Hi,

Catch with me tomorrow. I will be the guy wearing an Adidas black jacket with white strips, lolol

    Sincerely,
    Theis
Lol... I think somehow I will be able to find you... I intend on checking out your stuff at the range.. I will probably wear my krg shirt but just about all of my stuff has Building Concepts LLC on it so I should be easy to identify too.

Yessir. I’ll be down there tomorrow.
Cool. I was looking for you today and I saw your boy at the kestrel class. Man this trip is so much better because we are staying here at white oak. We were able to go back at lunch and eat and just have a much more enjoyable stay. I might even bring the wife down next year, she would love this place.
