It always seems like we’re reading threads on here about shitty service from suppliers. I think it’s high time for us to make a good guy list. Suppliers who have been good to deal with.

I will start with Snyder Precision also know on here as @cattleman99. Great service. Another is Altus shooting. I’ve had a recent dealing with Criterion barrels and they have been great.

Let’s keep this post going to help all of our members. There are so many good people to deal with, so let’s highlight the good guys.

Whidden Gunworks... I had a barreled action on order, and the reamer took 6 months to come in. I was notified on a Friday that all the parts were there, and that Monday they were able to get me out the door with my barreled action. (I live across the country and was in FL for a match, so they hooked me up so I wouldn’t have to drive back or pay shipping). That’s what I call customer service. I’ll recommend that shop to everyone I can until I die.

Dead air fixed my baffle strike that I'm almost positive was my fault with no questions asked. Free. Fast turn around.

The owner of boresight solutions hooked me up with some AK mags. They're in Florida, I'm in Washington. The owner must've noticed my address and sent a nice email about how the state is always trying to bone us with weapon and mag bans and letting me know he had shipped my mags that day. That was in addition to the normal automated shipping and confirmation emails. Just a short email, but it was nice to get the personalized service. That's the only thing I've gotten from them. Looks like they do glock slides and stuff if you're into that.

Area419 did some extra machining on my thread protector for free without telling me(did exactly what I wanted). I emailed them checking the measurements as my threads looked a little long and I wanted to make sure there was enough meat to have a target crown machined, I ordered and it showed up already done.

It’s something small but they didn’t have to do it either.

Another great supplier I’ve dealt with is Powder Valley. I’ve received great service every time I’ve ordered.

Been dealing with Snyder Precision lately. Great service so far. He’s a Hide member. His handle is @cattleman99

Dead Air and @Mageever have been great about quickly answering questions and stuff for me.

Midway USA has always had great CS, but the last time I had an issue, and the lady was probably confused, but I ended up not getting the problem solved the way it needs to have been solved.

@AndrewKing @ Otter Creek Labs is an awesome dude! More to disclose on that in the future, but for now it's Delta level clearance. 😏

Midsouth Shooters Supply in TN has always been great.

Natchez SS has been good the few orders I've placed with them (only in the last couple years did they open up sales to Alabama due to previous wholesaling boundaries).

Vortex CS has been amazing! They've even sent me free parts that I lost on my own, almost 10 years after buying the scope. And sent me free swag in the box! And most recently let me upgrade my old discontinued Viper HS for a new Strike Eagle 5-25x56 for a small fee! 👍🏼

@SilencerShop has had absolutely STELLAR customer service with me in the past, helping me get into learning all the eccentricities with the whole suppressor and NFA game. Their reps are awesome folks, and very patient with people asking dumb questions (like me a year ago).

    RCBS has been great.

    Redding has been awesome.

    Whidden has been good.

    I'm sure there's more...But I'm drawing a blank at the moment...

Todd is always trying to come onto me

Frank Green and Bartlein Barrels. I was having an issue with a new barrel and contacted Frank. Over the course of several months and over 500 rounds, trying things Frank suggested; the barrel just wasn't performing. Frank said send it back. After inspecting it he said he couldn't explain what he was seeing and would replace the barrel. No arguing, no accusations of abuse, no half off your next purchase. He said what do you want. Stand up guy and top notch company.

KRG @Massoud I swear he doesn’t sleep. Don’t think I’ve ever gone more than 8 hours, regardless of day or time contact was initiated.

Don’t know if Travis Stevens (TS Customs) is on here. Every barrel I’ve ever ordered has been completed within the quoted time or sooner. Stellar guy to deal with. Delivered product is nothing less than exceptional.

Short Action Customs product support = stellar.

I’ll echo the shoutoutto @cattleman99 and Altus

@Spartan Precision Arms I’ve spent a few bucks there this year and couldn’t be more satisfied.

@JayseM_SportOptics has helped me donate a kidney more than once.

EuroOptic is always a safe bet. Never an issue.

John at Keystone Accuracy went above and beyond to fix someone else’s work done on a barre he did for me. PS he does the best gas block pinning I’ve seen.

Nightforce and Kahles know how to make an owner feel special and appreciated.

I’m sure there are more that deserve recognition.

Thanks man, I really appreciate the shoutout and continued support. Let me know your blood type just in case things go sideways haha.

I love this thread got revived. In our current situation there are many shady businesses that have popped up, more than willing to take our money and nothing else. My hope is this list will be a roadmap of the solid vendors in the industry. We all work hard to afford this hobby, we best get the most bang for our buck.

I’ll second Altus, every interaction with them has been great. Whether you are dropping a few thousand or a hundred bucks, same great service.

I'll second KRG @Massoud - I had some odd questions, phone was answered on the first call and all questions quickly answered.

And, Short Action Precision - Great customer service as well

@wigwamitus of Strictly Offensive Kit. I asked him a million questions over many months before buying NV from him. He answered everything every time. And followed up after the purchase. Great guy and company!

@bohem Josh of PVA. Needs no introduction. One of the most knowledgeable people I know, helpful and builds hammers! Been buying PVA gun parts since 2016.

@Tyler Kemp of MKM. Always ready to answer questions and help with issues and give advice on ideas.

@Front Range Precision these guys have always got me what I need and fast, when it comes to Proof barrels.

Keep the posts coming. This is a thread to highlight the solid people in our sport/industry.

I talked with several people from @Cadex Defence when I was updating a discontinued chassis to having the current gen. extra long handguard. Great & knowledgable people, superb product, shipping times from Canada are what they are.

Theyre not on here but CZ USA has taken care of me when I've called on 2 occasions. One time the firing pin retaining rollpin crumbled in my sp01 at around 5k rounds, they sent my a bag of pins no charge. Another time my Dad's Scorpion carbine had the folding hinge pin walking out. I believe they replaced the stock.

    Vortex is good obviously

B&T USA helped me puzzle out an issue with HK parts having fake out of spec tri lug flashhiders they claimed were B&T. HK parts tried to claim that my barrel lugs were out of spec, which was why the device wouldn't attach. I spoke with the B&T armorer who confirmed from pictures that the company have never produced a muzzledevice with the serrations on the part I had. HK parts made things right in the end with a refund.

All the sales and CS people at Europtic are phenomenal.

Lots of good people out there in this industry as long as you're reasonable.

I have received excellent customer service from MDT. They went above and beyond when I wanted to upgrade my buttstock last year on my ESS.

Also props to Nightforce for sending out new turret screws at no cost when I told them I’d buggered them up.

@mako15 is A +++ awesome guy to deal with! Schmidt and Bender is in new condition and he shipped it overnight !
    Deal with absolute confidence !

Misplaced the trigger pins for my Bighorn TL3; reached out to Zermatt to see if I could get some replacements. Got an email response within a couple of hours that they would hook me up with a pair, tracking info the next day, and they were at my door in a week (pretty good for Alaska). Couldn’t have asked for anything more, and would have been more than happy to buy the pins considering I’m the idiot that lost them. Good outfit for sure, and they make an awesome action.

    Personal Experiences:
Only have 1 major experience with a problematic part, which was a loose grip panel retaining pin on a new Steyr L9A2 MF pistol. Called Steyr USA and they overnighted a replacement pin no questions asked, and told me to call again if that didn't solve the problem. Totally unexpected and between that service and the quality of the gun, my safe will always have a Steyr in it.

Desert Tech for all people love to gripe about turnaround times and stuff has been very responsive to inquiries and updates on what's going on, and has at least been transparent about setbacks when they occur (my order was still ongoing when their heat treat supplier fiasco occurred) so while some patience may be required, my experience to date is that they'll do what's needed to make it right.

    General Customer Experience:

Bobro engineering: good quality product, and the turnaround time on questions is stellar

Hoptic: Niche but great products in that niche, and good customer service

The usual suspects: Grafs, Arisaka, MidwayUSA, Brownells, SilencerShop, Dead Air, etc

@gr8fuldoug at Cameralandny definitely deserves to be at the top of the list. He’s a long time hide supporter. Always will to help our. Definitely consider him for your next optic purchases.

Snyder precision again, shipped to my door in a couple days with candy. If you need weights I really like his.

@cattleman99 / Snyder precision is a good guy, runs a good business. Treats the hide members great. He’s the first person to jump in and help out on fundraisers.

3 updates to the list. First off MDT. Great supporter of the hide. They stepped up big on our current fundraiser and donated an ACC chassis. Lots to be said for a company who gives back like that.

Second is @gr8fuldoug at Cameralandny. As I stated in an earlier post he’s very good to us, also steps up and gives back to the hide by supporting our fundraisers.

Third is B&T industries/ Atlas bipods. Big hide supporter, who definitely gives back to the hide.
