I've literally watched this movie five times within the last three weeks. It gets better every time and I appreciate subtle things about it that I didn't previously notice. I truly think this movie is a masterpiece. The acting by Culkin, Pesci, and Stern really couldn't have been any better.

And the John Williams score really brings it all together in a very sentimental way.

False on a major scale.....we all know National Lampoons Christmas vacation is the best of all time.....minus the original Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

I can't disagree with you simply because it's a damn close second place in my book. Also fun to rewatch over and over.

Well, hot damn. THERE'S the solution. WHY didn't anyone see it?!

Peace on Earth, Goodwill to man.... Dang. Genius.

Why do we not adopt that philosophy?

Oh yeah-the shit doesn't work for any reason. Fuck off then.

Nimrod.

entertaining, funny, heartwarming, inspiring...hard to pick one
home alone was entertaining, bad santa was fucking hilarious, miracle on 34th street (either version) is touching, and i can't help but feel better after watching scrooged.

Classic "Miracle" for me and yes, "Scrooged" is one of my Bill Murray favorites and another great one for laughs.

The Patrick Stewart "A Christmas Carol" is my favorite of that story.

Anchorman....oh wait, is that not a Christmas movie? then Blazing Saddles...

You guys are all wrong.
Just tune into Lifetime network and watch any of the Christmas movies they play.
The locations, the acting, and, just wow, the stories those movies tell...
It's got everything else beat.

always will be a huge fan of the old claymation Christmas specials from the late 60's the island of misfit toys , Rudolph the red nosed reindeer , frosty with Burl Ives and Gene Autry and Bing Crosby

merry Christmas to all and to all a good night ....

How is Elf not in there somewhere?
I was wondering if I would get all the way to the end of this thread and have to suggest Elf. I think it’s in the conversation but ultimately falls short of Christmas Vacation. It’s easily as good as Home Alone. My problem with Home Alone is all of the funny stuff happens in like 10 minutes near the end

"It's a Wonderful Life" is, and always will be, the best. Bar fucking none.

"A Christmas Story" is my go-to for laughs in the season, and "Die Hard" is the best for action, but there's no topping the Christmas Spirit of Wonderful Life.
end thread

Its a Wonderful Life: too depressing I don't have friends
A Chritsmas Story. Yeah I can get behind this. Classic--actually saw it in theater. Damn im old
Die Hard. @GreenGO Juan is a cunt
Christmas Vacation: I live it every year. I was Rusty. Now I am Clark. A+

My wife:
Christmas Carol (George C. Scott Version)
The Santa Clause
Elf (She tortures me with this throughout the year --ONLY 26 more Sundays until XMAS!)

Charlie Brown Christmas Special though.

Hard to follow the chimney recommendation... But Four Christmases with Vince Vaughn is pretty hilarious and a yearly tradition along with the others mentioned.

I think rewriting the lines to one of the claymation Christmas movies and then getting some friends to lay down the audio to go with it 🤔
I think I would have to go with Elf. It’s not an easy choice though.
