I want to start by saying this is not meant to be a bashing of the company but more curiosity with what other people have.
I have had 2 Vector actions for a couple of years now and have shot both 6 Dasher, 300wsm, and 6.5 SAUM with them with no issues. The actions and barrels were both DLC coated and I have fairly early serial numbers for both of them.
I decided to pick up a Valor during the Black Friday Sale and it just arrived today. First thing I noticed was that both the .308 bolt face bolt and the .223 I bought were different looking from the action body. The action body itself is supposed to be Black Nitrided now but does not have a appearance much different than what my DLC ones look like. The bolts themselves are a VERY flat finish, the website states they are still DLC coated but I am wondering if that is not true anymore.
Curious if others have experienced this with their actions recently or if I might have gotten an off batch of bolts.
