Surefire FA762ss Owners - Quick Inquiry

It’s what I’ve had to do with all the fine-tooth Surefires to get them to lock up solid. Although from the numerous times I’ve shot with the audible play still present, I can’t say I noticed any adverse effects (based on the platforms and ammo being fired). I just much prefer knowing it’s...

Surefire FA762ss Owners - Quick Inquiry

Chrome, for your style latch, try this: Cinch down on the collar like normal. Do it swiftly. Then grab the suppressor and twist to check for play. If play is present, give the collar another swift twist, using more force if necessary. Repeat the sequence a few times until there is no...

What Military Sniper Weapon Systems were issued the Schmidt & Bender PMiis???

Don’t forget that the actual issue S&B’s also have “Premier Reticles” engraved on the left side of the ocular instead of Schmidt & Bender on both sides like the commercial ones.

Leupold TS30-A2 Mark 4 2.5-8x36mm TMR ret. Illum. riflescope 112633

Leupold isn’t going as far as, say, Daniel Defense with their “mk12”... The original mil designation for the 3-9x M2 that eventually became a 2.5-8x was TS-30/TS-30A2. That product line was evolved over the years by Leupold as improvements (such as the boxier illumiation&occular housing)...

Leupold TS30-A2 Mark 4 2.5-8x36mm TMR ret. Illum. riflescope 112633

Interestingly enough, this particular scope is incorrect for the mk12 cloners. This model came out a few years after the whole mk12 program was retired, and in addition to the lines in the tube, the battery cap has a tether. Yet this model commands the biggest premium by the clone world...

    L.C. M118LR, 175 match

No. Lake City LR brass was used in the M118LR. Mk136 is a different round made by Federal. The military mk316 and commercial 7.62 GMM load uses an FC Case with 2-digit year on the headstamp.

    Krieger vs Bartlein

I did not know LW50 was used by other barrel makers like Krieger. Very interestin, as I thought it was exclusive to Lothar Walther. I use LW50 in my gas gun barrels and have Lothar Walther spin them up. Every one of them has been awesome.

Ultra 9 would be the middle ground between those two in weight, length, performance, and price.

Any quantitative data on how much difference does a couple thou shoulder bump make?

I should have mentioned above that all the POI shift with different loading/holding pressures has shown nothing quantifiable velocity-wise. Everyone one of my shots when playing with that stuff goes across the Labradar.

Any quantitative data on how much difference does a couple thou shoulder bump make?

Same for me, if I’m loading hard through the bipod. Keeping the bipod load consistent but then a “harder” pull into the shoulder or or somewhat shrugging my shoulder tighter around the stock (if that makes sense) results in 1” high at 100m. This is with a 8.6 lb gas gun. Heavier guns aren’t...
