So if I had a bunch of absolutely smokingly priced 1/2" AR500 targets......

    Cool, if that’s how it’s working out, I’ll go with: 25% IPSC x2 50% IPSC x 2

A little game of range estimation

Lots of light helps. Oh and 10,000 yards give or take a few.

Thinking out loud, a reticle for the OEM crew

All tree reticles will have a lot of base similarities. The one proposed and displayed by Jack Master has been simplified to degrees.

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

Now don’t go running off with buyers remorse. Respectfully, your kinda not wanting to see what we’re telling you. Just wait until it’s all together. I’ll give you this. You claim to have perfect eyesight, that’s nice I do not. If you set the parallax at a given range to look perfect for...

So if I had a bunch of absolutely smokingly priced 1/2" AR500 targets......

Is this to say your putting one or two holes in the smaller plates for mounting? I’m interested in a few but kinda need to know what your intending on the smaller ones. Thanks

Wet tumbling what a difference WOW

I do not. I’ve already sized the brass once the FL sizer has been used. I do not remove the mandrel or the expander ball like some do.

Night Vision -POSTPONED *** EliteUAS "Try Before You Buy NIGHT VISION TOUR."

Sounds good. We are working out details and will have something in the coming weeks. I do think it will be a go here in N.W. Ohio.

Rifle Scopes New Meopta Scope - Optika6

It’s not necessary wrong. You have a graduation line at 500 then the next is infinity. You also don’t have it mounted on a rifle so your eye relative to the scope isn’t consistent. Some manufacturers don’t even put numbers on the dial, rather a graphic indicating from close to far. Fear not...

Night Vision -POSTPONED *** EliteUAS "Try Before You Buy NIGHT VISION TOUR."

I can say I’m one of them working with Elite. If we can make it work it will be in Northwest Ohio. About 45 minutes South East of Toledo. Remember that’s if I can make it work.

Wet tumbling what a difference WOW

Jim, I feel your correct overall and thanks for taking time to post again. I will state that I typically only shoot to 1k or just a bit over and then it’s on steel. I would most likely never see a difference. That said I’m consistent in my process so I have always seen repeatable results...

    Mild steel past 1000?

I concur if AR400 splits the difference price wise it use it over mild.

Wet tumbling what a difference WOW

I wet tumble. I’ve tumbled brass for hours and hours, just to torture my brass. “Kidding” I’ve produced great ES regardless of the time I’ve tumbled with pins, or just used a vibratory media tumbler. I’ve not experienced any stuck bullets or missed a target because of anything ammunition...

    What to do in Detroit?

The Ford museum and the Chrysler museum were both cool if your into cars. The Gilmore museum is over by Battle Creek but if it’s open it’s pretty cool. Again all car stuff. As noted Windsor is just across the water.

    Rifle Scopes EBR 7c reticle

I simply provided something for the OP to consider, given his question about a darker background. There is no need to continually justify either my or your opinion.

    Rifle Scopes EBR 7c reticle

These are not great pictures, but it gets the point across. Illumination is helpful. It’s not then end all. Both pics are at 10 power, one with and one without illumination.

    Rifle Scopes EBR 7c reticle

I personally think it’s smaller than it should be. Illumination while helpful doesn’t fix the fundamental issue. I tend to use scopes on the lower portion of the power availability. But many people disagree...

Thinking out loud, a reticle for the OEM crew

I tend to agree with Ma Smith here. A different tick mark is easy to explain. Odds up, Evens down is an easy concept. 2 tenths across on the bottom and 5 tenths across on the top. Simple and easy. And while I know we’re saying new shooter, who wouldn’t get one to try out? I’m not saying make...

Thinking out loud, a reticle for the OEM crew

Leave the circle please. The small center dot without the circle or a fair amount of open space around it gets lost at low power. Many people use a scope at lower power. Personally I’ve commented that many of today’s reticles do not work well at lower power. Now, do not twist that and claim I...

Thinking out loud, a reticle for the OEM crew

I do like the circle. I do think that many center dots are smaller than they should be and like others pointed out are difficult to use at anything but almost max power.
