The reason for the different length tangs has to do with the ejector. On the long ones, the ejector is part of the barrel extension. On the short ones, it's riveted into the receiver.

It's an LW barrel extension. I had a machinist fit an LT to mine to get the fully rifled slug barrel.

Makes sense. checking is different than headspacing, which is where I guess I misunderstood. Point taken. Don't trust prefits.

so please enlighten me. I'm actually asking a serious question. How do you headspace a prefit barrel? What changes are you going to make?

    DIY: Barrel Swap

I understand. The whole premise behind shouldered prefits is they screw on and shoot. But you go ahead and have that shouldered prefit headspaced if it makes you feel good.

they're called prefits for a reason. Those barrels screw on and the headspace is right. That's how they're made

    Problematic prone

I've noticed that some people who have issues lining up prone also suffer from inflexibility of the thoracic spine (myself included). A small foam roller has helped my increase flexibility enough to use my upper back and decrease tension on my neck.

    Rifle Sabots

I used the accelerators back in the late 80s in my 30-06. Around 100-150 they were fine, minute of groundhog. When I tried them at 400, I used the whole box and never hit. More like artillery at that range.

Can i see your fancy scattergun?

Some really fine shotguns here. Im just shooting a 1964 Winchester 101 12 gauge, but I love it. Looked for a while before I finally found one locally.

Guy got high centered and used the skinny pedal to free himself. Lost control and kept in the gas as he turned into the crowd. Never hit the brakes. Video was pulled off youtube
