If you make a special order you can get the 3-12x50 klassik s&b with an illuminated p3 mildot and target turrets on both elevations and windage. Me and two friends have them and they’re excellent.

S&B 3-12 x 50 klassik with bdc or the 10x42 ‘pm1’. Both are bombproof.

I run a Schmidt 3-12x50 klassik with target turrets and illuminated p3 mildot. Kind of a PM1... had to order it from Schmidt. I think Schmidt used to call it a precision hunter. Not perfect (id like a bit more top end) but the glass is great, illumination does the job and it’s under 23oz....

Used rem and Winchester. Binned it as too much work involved (with the stuff I had). Moved to Norma brass. This is the procedure I follow with Norma: Buy some. Load it. Go and shoot. Just don’t try and buy Norma factory loaded ammo: spendy ?

More people shooting .277 equals more bullets and more options... Over here (uk) brass is easy to come by. High bc bullets less so. The wsm is a great multi purpose proposition though. If the round can be loaded so the base of the bullet is at neck/shoulder junction with long enough magazines...

Think the standard mag length on the t3 is around 3.37 or thereabouts. Loaded to near ideal length those 165s are around 3.15..

Re: Precision Mauser? While the Sako 75 is not a true 98- it was very close. No, not even close. Extractor completely different, 3 lugs not 2, smaller lift radius, different recoil lug arrangement, 1 is parallel sided one is not, different bridge profiles (level bridge on Sako) etc etc...
