    Sig 3000BDX Review

Sig 3000 BDX Review continued The 3000's are a little shorter than the FL's, but are quite a bit thicker. In terms of weight, the 3000's weigh about 6 ozs more than the FL's, probably due to the addition of the rangefinding hardware The other thing I noticed is during long periods of...

    Sig 3000BDX Review

Sig 3000 BDX Review continued One note, all of the following testing was done hand-held, usually braced, as I lack a bino tripod mount. The 3k does come equipped for a screw in mount, but I don’t have one. I hope a couple items from Outdoorsmans are in my future, but at the moment, I make due...

    Sig 3000BDX Review

Introduction When Sig released their BDX line, I was pretty excited by the capabilities of the 2400, especially in terms of it’s connectivity and price point. Shortly after, I learned that a bino version was coming out, but I was not all that interested, figuring the cost would be entirely too...

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

I've hit right to 2800 on a rock face that I would not call reflective. I've hit in the 2700's on trees, but it's rare, under perfect circumstances and from a tripod.

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

All of the RF's I have used that connect to the Kestrel or an app will drop occassionally, or have connectivity challenges at times. Sig has had BT connectivity with their RF for quite a while, so their a little more mature, and in that respect, their performance is a better. But even those...

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

These are exactly the change recommendations I put in when we went over the 2800...specifically to cycle the shooting solution as the Sig's do, and to increase both the speed and stability of the bluetooth connection. Hopefully, we will see that, as both are possible through firmware upgrades.

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

The 2800 has full environmentals onboard, much like the 2400 ABS. The 2400 BDX and the 3000bdx do not have environmental sensors (temp and pressure) onboard. That information must be supplied via input from the app (manual or automatic), or left to the Kestrel to sort.

New Leica Rangemaster 2800.com & Kestrel with Applied Ballitsics

You do not, the compass works out of the box, and in my experience so far, the DOF seems on the money.

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Same here, mine are not alpha glass, but they are not bad. Sounds like something is off on yours, I'd definitely contact Sig. FYI, there will be a noticable difference in color cast left vs right....one will be cooler due to the RF equipment on that side, the other warmer. What I have found...

    Sig Kilo 2400BDX standalone

16.. I have a review on this board that I did earlier in the year, if you look it up, it will probably answer some questions you have. But all in all, as far as glass and ranging performance, it is the same as the 2400 ABS. What you give up are the tech around workflow...so no on board...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

The objective covers I got for the Fury don't fit well at all on my 3k's, they don't stay on. There is a post somewhere on here where someone is using butler creek caps that apparently work much better. As for the eyepiece cover from Vortex, they work fine on mine.

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

Roger that, I'll reach out tomorrow and get an idea how you are testing yours. Not sure I can find the same setup you are testing on, most of my treelines are in the 500 range max, with just grass after that. But I'd like to see if mine is acting different than yours under the same...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

So my experience with the 3k and the 2800 and 2700 differs a bit. I tested the 2800 and the 3k both this evening looking for loops to shoot through. I just moved out to a ranch so there were quite a few opportunities, as the pastures are broken by thin treelines on the fencelines, that then...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

When you hit the secondary button and toggle through all the choices , like mode selection, brightness setting etc., one of them is target selection, which lets you choose between last vs best. It does not change the dispersion, it has to do with how returns are processed and which are selected...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

Sigs definitely hit reflective targets at crazy distances. Even the 2400. And I have seen the same thing with the 2400 that you mentioned...that is I could hit a cliff wall at 2750, but hitting a 12" white target, it cut out at around 1150 or 1200 IIRC, where my Leicas went further. But the...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

Chatted with Sig about this today. They are taking a look at these results, I'll post up what I hear back. It's odd because I have had some things getting a return that should not have in the foreground, but on the other hand, I have been able to hit very small targets at very long distances...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

Very interesting indeed, nice info. According to Leica, divergence is about .5 tall by 1.5 wide, more or less. The 2400 from sig is supposed to be 1.5 round IIRC, but the 3k is supposed to be .3 by 1.5 IIRC, so this is a very interesting result. I too find my 2800 easier to 'thread the...

    Sig kilo2400 vs. 3000 or Leica 2800.com

Plamia, I have, or have had, all three you are looking at, plus the 1600. I have reviews on the 2800 and the 2400 BDX on this board, currently working on one for the 3k. Check those out for more details, but in terms of raw horsepower, the 3k wins. I have ranged some absurd things at absurd...
