New Leica Rangemaster 2800.com & Kestrel with Applied Ballitsics

Well, just tonight I populated past target E and called it good. But I don't use the target card function, I was just testing it to see how it worked, so maybe I am not understanding what you are seeing. But basically, I went into the target card screen and started ranging through the targets...

New Leica Rangemaster 2800.com & Kestrel with Applied Ballitsics

FYI, your 2800 should work with the target card on your Kestrel. The latest firmware includes this capability, mine works great. So if yours is giving you trouble, might call into CS as it should work.

Leica 2800.com vs Kilo3000bdx for HUNTING

GH, I have both, hunted with both this year. They both connect with the Kestrel, I'd say the 3k's connection is more secure and definitely faster upon wakeup etc. The 3k can range farther, but the 2800's reticle to sensor alignment is more precise. I just came in from testing both of them 5...

Need some suggestions/recommendations for Range Finder, Applied Ballistics meter/calculator and/or scope?

Sonic, I have a review up on the BDX scope on this forum, or perhaps the scope forum, can't remember exactly. It's a good system designed for speed at mid slightly long ranges, depending on what you are shooting. But if you are looking to go to 1k with the 308 or farther with the Creed, you...

    Leica 2800 range finder

Sonic, It is hard to make a choice because the options each have their strengths and weaknesses, so you really have to decide what you want, and what things you don't care about....and what weaknesses you can live with. From the ones I am most familiar with...the 2400 BDX, 2800.com and 2400...

    Sig BDX Scope Review

You are welcome! Yeah, I was very proud of him. He is a more accomplished hunter than I am, but unfortunately, that's not saying much! Interested in hearing how your match experience was. How long were your shots?

    Sig BDX Scope Review

You are welcome! Hopefully it helps some who are looking at the whole system for now or maybe considering it in the future should they role it out to higher end products. On the 3k BDX, yeah, I hope to finish that sooner than later...in the middle of moving so probably have to wait, but hope I...

Rifle Scopes Sig BDX Scope Review

I posted this review to the wrong forum, but don't know how to move it, so here is the link to it in the observation device forum: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/sig-bdx-scope-review.6942078/

    Sig BDX Scope Review

Sig BDX Scope Review Continued Final Impressions When I got my first demo on the BDX system, I was really focused on the RF integration with the Kestrel, something I had really been wanting to see for a while. To be honest, when Sig showed me the scope integration during that demo, I basically...

    Sig BDX Scope Review

Sig BDX Scope Review Continued To try and figure out what was going on here, I looked at the aero jump and Coriolis numbers that the Kestrel included in it’s solution, and they were near zero based on our DOF etc. So that does not appear to be the reason the drops were off just a bit. So I...

    Sig BDX Scope Review

Sig BDX Scope Review Continued Optics At this time, the scopes in the BDX line are variants of the Sierra 3 scopes. The scope I had for testing was their 4.5-14 x44, which as a 30mm tube. They also have a 3.5 -10 as well as a 6-18 in the line, but I requested the 4.5-14 as a good middle of...

    Sig BDX Scope Review

The BDX system is precipitated on several concepts. Speed, connectivity, integration, flexibility, choice. All of these are achieved through the application of technology. For some shooters, this is something they don’t want. Others are comfortable with some, but not all, of what the system...

    Rangefinder thoughts and opinions

There is no capacity for calibration for the compass on the 2800. I can test it and see how it reads versus the Kestrel and see if it's accurate or accurate enough at some point, just gotta get some other testing done first, but I'll add that to the list.

......and the absolute dumbest/crappiest binocular strap/harness/case award goes to Sig Sauer!

Definitely want caps, and considering everyone prefers a different carry method, even if you are using a harness, but most people want caps regardless...they should probably shift to caps. Mine are in an AGC pack at the moment, I prefer that over the Kuiu style personally, but had to source caps.

......and the absolute dumbest/crappiest binocular strap/harness/case award goes to Sig Sauer!

They work very well, Ive used both the 2400 and 3k BDX's with a BDX scope, and it excellent. Only downside is you have to stay close to the scope...within a couple yards or so. Still need to test to see exactly how far, but you are not seperating by far before communication stops. Otherwise...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Gotta say...yeah...lens caps. They should be included, or at least available. I am told Viper ones work perfectly. I got a set for Furys, they don't fit all that well...the caps themselves do, but the attachment loops are a little too big and slip off easily. I'm going to try a set for...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

That's awesome on the steel, the local range I use only goes to 1391 on steel, so I have not had an opportunity to try out the 3k any farther. It was easily done there handheld, but the target was pretty big. How big was that piece of steel you hit at 1675?
