Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

The 2200 cannot connect to the elite. At this time, only the 2400 BDX and the 3000 BDX can connect to the Elite. I suspect that will change, but not for the 2200 at it's price point.

He is the one who probably should get the best, he's the only one killing anything, I just wonder around with a useless rifle it seems! Ha!

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

Yeah, I checked them out at DSC last weekend. But inside, it's really hard to get any kind of feel for the quality of the glass. Everything looks good enough inside under those lights. If you get a chance to check them in some dim areas or whatever, be very interesting to see what you think...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

Glass wise, for sure the Leica. The colors are, to my eyes, very true. Contrast is also correct for what I see. And edge to edge sharpness was better. I do understand different people see differently, but that's what I see. That said, as I mentioned in the review, the 2400 performed far...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

Yeah, there is so much great stuff coming out. I am actually really interested in trying out the 3000bdx and pairing it with a foretrex and the Sierra 3 bdx scope we have for review. The scope worked great with the 2400, but I am imagining finding and ranging combined in the binos, and then...

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

You bet, hope it helps. To muddy the waters further, I just posted a monster long term review on the 2400 BDX too, a couple minutes ago. It's a long review, but been running that one for months, so had lots to say.

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

I can't say for sure, but I am fairly sure the Terrapin X will beat it. The reason is the 2800 has the same size lenses as the 2700, so it is limited under current specs, at least that is what I was told. Heard similar from Sig on some of their products too. The Terrapin is a little larger so...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX Part 1d High center, you can see the plate 24”x48” yellow and red plate at 1390 Subsequently, while in Northern Indiana and under more favorable conditions (heavily overcast skies, but no rain or mist), I tested on 12" and 18” white square targets made of...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX Part 1c Ranging Performance Not a lot of street signs on this West Texas ranch where I tested the 2400, but there is a big mule deer buck in there somewhere…. Before we get into the performance numbers, one note on these results. According to Sig, the 2400...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX Part 1b Setup No way around it, Sig has done a great job making connecting their RF to a phone or to a Kestrel easy. I am not much of an instruction reader, but I had the RF connected in minutes and had ballistics loaded and good to go. Soon afterward, I handed...

Sig BDX System Review: 2400 BDX, Part 1a

This first review will cover the Sig 2400 BDX, it’s general function, optics, and it’s ranging performance. The second review will look at the Sierra 3 scope in the BDX platform and its integration with the RF, as well as provide some thoughts on how the 2400 BDX stacks up vs the 2400 ABS...

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

Gotcha, yeah to clarify, the review I mentioned was a video review on the Leica 2800. His did not appear to populate the solution back into the RF, but mine did, so they got that sorted. At this time, the 2800 does not connect to the Foretrex, though that is one of the recommendations I made...

Not sure what you mean? Are you referring to the BDX's?

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

Sure thing, FYI, there is a video review by Xring, IIRC, on youtube about these. Oddly, he does not mention that it feeds back into the unit, so you don't need to look at the Kestrel, could be his did not have that functionality at the time. But it's still interesting to watch if you want to...

It lights up a dot on the horizontal stadia showing where to hold for wind, just as it does on the vertical for elevation.

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Yeah, it's pretty fast on the Kestrel to do it once its in your hand, but of course you have to pull it out etc. Was hoping the Foretrex would do it automatically when it receives data from the RF. That's probably not possible, I guess, the compass would have to be onboard like on the new...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

I heard a rumor, and it was a rumor only, that they were looking to add inreach to all their devices in the next 12-18 months. But again, it was a rumor only, so I don't know if it's true. He said that was the reason they bought inreach, and the plan is to merge it all together. I don't...

Leica 2800.COM Initial Hands On Review

I hope to have a 2400 review up by end of week, part one anyway. It expanded when I got ahold of a BDX scope to pair with it, and that really adds another dimension to consider. When I am done with that, then I plan on doing a direct comparison, but initially, while they overlap in most areas...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

So workflow wise, is it the same as with the Kestrel? That is leave Foretrex on, power up RF, they reconnect automatically....range, and the solution feeds back and displays in the RF? Also, with the Kestrel, compass heading is not sent, at least not on the 2400, maybe the 3000 has a compass...
